  • Although he has gained international recognition for his work, just like Peter Jackson, he has chosen to remain in his native New Zealand

  • Began his career with the New Zealand Broadcasting Company, and later worked as a trainee editor and started cutting newsreels, current affairs programmes, documentaries and dramas

  • As well as editing Peter Jackson’s films he has also served as a producer, sound editor and production manager

  • Elected as member of the American Cinema Editors

  • Along with Peter Jackson, Richard Taylor and Tania Rodger, he is a founding member of Weta, which began in 1993/94
