I know, I know it's one day early... so what.  </center>
Wow, so it’s been a full year on AU already? Where does the time fly?  I swear it feels like just yesterday when I hit that register button. I was actually reading the entry in my diary the other day from the first day I joined. I didn’t say much except how awesome of a site it was and how I couldn’t wait to post around. But reading it now I sound so stupid. but still, AU has changed my life SO much. I know lots of people say that so it’s probably boring and repetitive by now but every word of it is true. AU has helped me grow in many ways. I’ve found I’m more outgoing now, my beliefs are firmer, I have discovered that there are some people out there who actually enjoy the same things I do. I’ve found a common ground of sorts and a place to come to share my worries and my joys. AU is VERY much a second family and you guys mean the world to me! I don’t know what I would do if I couldn’t “see” you at least a split second every day.  I swear you wouldn’t think a site could mean so much. I mean, they’re people you’ve never met and it’s just a place where you type and type… but all the typing means something and it’s not just another place. It’s AU. I am convinced there’s not another place anywhere on the net with such caring, loving, clean and fun people!
But the long story behind how teh PD came to torment you lovely people… well, a long, long, long time ago (wayyy back when I was first getting into LotR) I was site searching and I stumbled across this one (this is as well as I can remember it) and I saved it. I came on and off for a little while and then it got shoved to the back of my favorites list and it sat there for a long time. Until one day… oh, a little before At World’s End’s release to theaters last year I was cleaning out my favorites list and I came across it again. I decided to look at it and I found the AWE thread. That’s what actually brought me here. You guys seemed to love Pirates so much.  odd, isn’t it? Anyway, so I started reading that thread and then I got around to some of the other parts and I discovered that you people seemed nice here. And then, well, I joined and it’s all history. Everyone here has impacted me in so many ways… it’s impossible to list them all. and now it’s come up on one year already. My brain is still digesting all of it actually. 
But now that I’ve talked everyone’s ear off… here are the personal notes. They are listed in alphabetical order, btw.  and I want everyone who reads this to know that even if you aren’t in this list, you’re still important to AU. From the oldest member to the newest newbie. You all make up AU and that’s all that matters in the long run. And here’s a big huggle for everyone!
Aerlinn - well, I know that you’re taking a semi-break from AU for a time, but I still want to include you in my speech. We never talked much but still… your enthusiasm and bounciness have effected me. and you’re really sweet and welcoming, dear! I feel lucky to get to chat to you on the WT and such…  you and your Ville Valo (I spelled that right, didn’t I?) obsession is amusing to listen to... but that makes you you and it's special… keep it up! And go for your dreams all the way!
Altariel Frodo - first and foremost I really hope your trip is going well (or went well, I’m not sure when you’re gonna get to read this ). But I also want to say how sweet you really are. You’ve always been welcoming to my Pms ect….. Thanks so much! and I really hope we can get to talking more once you return. You seem to be such a hard working fun person!
Ánië Súrion - Pip, well, it feels like it’s been a loonnngggg time since we’ve rambled in the AWE thread or in any thread or PM.  but I really hope school and life is going alright for you! I miss seeing you around and talking with you. it seems like we could talk and ramble on FOREVER about almost anything. Hehe. And you were one of the first people here to really talk to me much. You had such welcoming arms to me and I’m so happy to call you friend! and I hope we can get back to all the talking and fun soon…. Hopefully you’re life will slow down, Pip! After all, where is Merry without Pippin? but really just…. Thanks. Your friendship means a lot to me. A lot.  never doubt it for even a second. I miss you, Anie. and I miss chattering about our obsessions and our pets and our action figures (:lol:) and all that so much... you're just awesome, dear!
Aramel Elyanwe - wow, ummm, *long sigh* the adventures of Aramel and PD are too numerous and to amazing to try to narrow anything down. you know, I cannot say… much of anything now. I’m just sitting here with a smile on my face. My Secret Twin… wow, we’ve been on some adventures, haven’t we? It’s amazing how close you can get to someone you’ve really never seen. And it seems like we’ve talked SO much… even if there are a few things we disagree on… still. I feel like I could be so open with you and you’ll never judge me or anything. And it’s great to be random with you every now and then… although perhaps not quite as much as we were that one Saturday night.  I think we sampled too much of Jack‘s rum that night or something. Hehe. Even when our fandoms are changing left and right and school butts in and all that we’ve still managed to talk… for which I’ve very grateful. If you ever left for good I would hunt you down and make you come back to your sense, Sherlock!  you’re a wonderful friend! I can’t thank you enough… and for the support for my OCs too! And my Rping in general. thanks, dear! Gee, I feel like I should say something more… but, hmmm, I can’t think of anything more at the moment. oh, well, I think you know what I’m feeling… if we really are Secret Twins we should be able to communicate telepathically anyway. Lol
May the great muffin queens rule forever! 
Balathor - awww! You know, I just have to do this  for old times sake, that is. but you know it’s all in good love, right? Anyway, I can’t believe we just “met” earlier this year! You feel like such a brother to me! (not that I really needed another one of those I kid because I care) and I feel really blessed to know you as well as I do. Even if the way we met wasn't the greatest… I wish I could’ve met you at a happier time but then again, I dunno. I think it was probably the best time. Everything happens for a reason, I suppose. but still, thanks for helping me through a lot. It seems like whenever I was down there for a while or depressed or something a desperate PM would always fly your way and you’d respond. *huggles* thanks, Bala. And thanks for all the support with the graphic making. Phew, that’s helped a lot. You’re always there to encourage and help. Seriously, it means a lot to me. all of your friendship means TONS too me. Thanks, BalaJack!
Dark, Queen of Angmar - Well, sis, I know we haven’t talked much outside of the great and feared Nazgul Club or the family line, but still, you’re a fun person. And you call me and some of the others random and crazy? Yeah, well, you’re the queen of evil random craziness yourself, me thinks. don’t ever leave AU!
Drew's Destiny - I know you don’t come on much anymore, Drew… I hope you shall return again but even still I want to write something out to you. In the hopes that someday you will come on and read it. I miss seeing you around here too…:erm: but anyway I just want to thank you. I do believe you were one of the first ones here to open your arms to me and reply to my Pms. a brave thing, I must say. But I enjoyed talking you you. You are just a sweet, kind person! And always agreeable. I loved hearing your opinion on the AWE thread and then on the family thread too, sis. And I remember we were sorta “partners in crime” over the whole me marrying Beckett thing. that was great. We’ve shared a lot of lovely/silly times, that’s for sure. I really hope you’ll hurry back soon… but til then… more huggles and prayers coming your way!
Eä - we haven’t talked much…. To my regret, but around the WT you’re a very sweet person, dear! and fun to read up on. Lol you always seem to be doing something exciting in your life. anyway, keep being yourself, Ea!
Elenriel of Mirkwood - I know we only chatted for a short time but in that time I realized you’re a very unique person, dear. Unique and great just the way you are.  and I absolutely love all of your Caspian banners. Lol I could sit here and watch them scroll around over and over. You’ve got quite a collection. But truthfully I’m happy to know you even as little as I do. thanks, Elen!! Just keep being yourself!
Elenthari - gee, I haven’t seen you around AU much either, but I know that you’re life has been crazy. anyway, I remember those random Pms we had going there for a while. About Elves and walks in the woods, remember? Those were always lovely, dear. and you always cared so much. Thanks for being there. I feel blessed to know you even as much as I do. And I truly hope your life calms down more so you can have more time to dedicate to fun.
Estë Undómë - darn, another person I haven’t talked to as much as I would probably like.  but at any rate, I really want to tell you that you’re such a nice person, Este! I can remember that thread where you said you were leaving AU. Back then I hardly knew you at all so I didn’t feel the keen pain some of the older members felt. But now I sorta know how they must’ve felt… even if I’m still not as close to you as they are. but still, I’m really happy you decided to return to us and therefore I got to see you around and get to know you a little better. And I’m really happy I did. Thanks for sticking around and for just… being there on the WT and… I dunno, just another person to randomly pop on and see and whatnot.
ForeverFrodo - we’ve hardly talked at all, but I just have to tell you how much your comments on my graphics ect mean to me, dear. thank you so much for helping me along and just…. I dunno, giving me hints and such. I truly admire your graphics SO much… they’re all so lovely! but thanks, FF. I feel honored to know you even as much as I do.
Gilthoniel - hmmm, whatever happened to our PM? Meh, I don’t remember. but you were just the greatest to talk to! Very open and happy sounding all the time. it was a joy to read your Pms and see what you were up to today. And to see you get married off to Ed… but that was really before we started talking any, wasn’t it? I dunno. but you’re a sweet girl!
Johnny’s Fan - you know, it seems like a lot of our talks have turned into “agree to disagree” things, but even still, JF, I admire you. You definitely believe strongly in what you believe in. and even with all that I think we’ve still had some good interactions… even if we’ve never seriously chatted much or anything. I mean, you’re always welcoming and ready to listen no matter what. And that’s a great thing… and it means a lot. I’m happy you’re on AU, dear. and I’m happy I’ve gotten to know you even as little as I have. thanks!!
Larael - we haven’t Pmed in a long time it seems like either. but at any rate you were always fun to talk to, dear! I know by now it seems like I’ve said this to everyone, but it still holds true! I’m really happy to know you as well! And it seems like you’ve been through so much over this past year or so… and you still have kept strong, dear. That’s the mark of a really special and VERY strong person. I admire you! and my prayers have been with you through all of those times. but anyway back to the present, I must say that I’m really glad for all the random talks we’ve had. No matter how long or short a time they lasted. You’re a big part of AU itself… where would we be without Lar?
Miluiel Evenstar - you’ve been a big part of all the PotC stuff here, Millie. In fact, you’ve been one of the few people left who has been dependable as far as keeping the Pirates stuff alive goes. But you’re nice to talk to… about Pirates and otherwise. And you’re always willing to participate in anything Pirates that comes around. something kind of rare and cool all at once. I’m glad I know you, Mil! And I’m happy to be able to talk about just about anything PotC with you too. anyway, thanks for being there and making up just another aspect of my AU life.
[ M i s s J o n e s ] (a.k.a Lothy) - haha, most of the times we have had have just been random encounters. Although the way we sorta started to get to know each other was… odd. do you remember that, or not? Hmm, maybe only I have a memory for that kind of stuff (although if you asked TT she might just say that I have no memory at all  just don‘t listen to her. Lol even if she is your “sister”) But it’s nice to see you around the family line and to have random PM chats with you every now and again… although it must be that you’ve gotten busy again lately. either way you’re a sweet “daughter”. I’m happy I got to adopt you, dear! just continue being your random self. and thanks for everything! *huggles*
Nurrantiel Mashiara - we haven’t been chatting for very long either, but I really hope to continue with that. Even if I feel kind of bad about sending you such long Pms. sorry ‘bout that. Somehow all of my stuff just drags on and on until it’s really too long.  I guess that’s just a PD Curse or something. But at any rate, you’re very kind, Nurr! thanks for being such an awesome listener and, erm, what’s the word? *thinks* person to talk to, I guess. even though that doesn’t sound as good as what I was trying to think of. and I’m so excited about our Narnia Battle. Still. I guess my Narnia obsession is still hanging on. but you’re fun to talk to, dear. *huggles* thankies so much for being there!!
Pandora - even though we literally only met a month or so ago (whenever you returned ) it seems like you’ve always been here. It’s weird but I almost can’t remember a time when there was no Panny on and I didn’t even know who that was. You’re such a part of AU. A sweet, nice part too. Always fun and happy…
Peregrin Took - even though we’ve only just started talking I feel like I already know a lot about you, dear! (although I know that’s mostly just for obvious reasons ) but still, you’re so sweet and kind! And you’re a lot of fun to get to know…. And I’m enjoying seeing you participate more in graphic contests ect. You’re graphics are just going to get better and better! I know it! Hmmm, we don’t have too much of an AU history together and I still think it’s unfair that you know more about me than I know about you but nevertheless I’m sure I’ll catch up someday.
Taurquende - wow, it seems like we’ve been talking forever! Lol you too were one of the first people to keep a constant PM going with me way back when. (well, other than that one time where we both were waiting for the other to respond. ) but seriously I do enjoy our casual talks about… really anything. You’re so quiet around AU and sweet… but seriousy you means a lot, Taur. you’re understanding and, you know, we raelly should try to talk more. Cut down our PM size so we can too. Lol Thanks for beinga good friend though!
The Nightingale - you’re really amazing too… you’re always willing to back me up and to pray for me and my family. And you know that that means an awful lot to me, Night. But even more than that you’re very… calm and pleasant to talk to. Hehe, even if you have this thing for math that I won’t ever be able to understand. but that doesn’t matter. You’re just very gifted. Very kind too. I’m really really blessed to be able to talk to you, dear. I just wish there was something more I could do for you to show you how much I appreciate you, Night… but thanks all the same! AU just wouldn’t be AU without you sweet presence! my thoughts and prayers go your way! Thanks so much!
TheThain - TT, ah, dear TT. What more can I say about you? You have literally been there almost whenever I’ve needed you… I mean, of course you couldn’t ALWAYS be there for me because then you’d have to be on AU 24/7. but seriously you have been one of the loveliest friends I have ever had. Just… I don’t know… I really don’t know what else to say for you, dear. I have so much I WANT to say, but there’s really no way of saying it all. Just how supportive and loving and kind you’ve been to me. It’s overwhelming, dear. Hehe, even if you have your strange moments. and all the odd abbreviations and HSM bashing and all that… hehe. And the long smilie posts… ahhh, yes. Lovely times those were…. Or rather still are. and to think we met and formed this lovely friendship all over an argument. Insane how that works, isn’t it? Some of the thoughts i had while we were fighting… haha, yeah, good times.

PD, your speech was brilliant. This is one of the few times I've got really emotional over something written on the Internet. It's amazing, but you're anniversary is bigger, for me, then so many other special days in RL. Congrats, PD. Congrats on 1 year... (though it seems like longer ) I don't know what it will be like when you're here for 5 years! lol, this [post seemed so long! (and we won't even go into the selective memory loss ) Never, ever leave us. AU simply would not be the same without you, m'dear. *hugs PD tightly*
 You really are too sweet, darling. I can say all I want about how evil you are on teh Nazgul thread, but... AW. I'm honoured that I wast mentioned. I'm not sure what else I can say. Thank you for everything, dear. Lol, strange moments? teh weird abbreviations? Ahhh... how could I forget that? You were so passionate. And still are. And, lol, even if you didn't show me that (;)) you taught me something more: people can still be wonderfullyamazingbeautifulsweetandjustawesome people even if they have a weird like for AWE/DMC.
I shall always, always remember that.
LOL! When I first read this post, it wasn't there. And all through dinner I was thinking about how to tell you off for that. But *ish spun around in a weird sort of dance*.

Ahhh, thanks, PD. That's so sweet of you! I love talking to you and getting to know you. Even though I may know more about you than you know of me, it's not nearly as much as I would like. Though we just began PMing, it is easy to see you are a great, kind, sweet, fun, amazing person!
You are one of the main reasons for my graphics improving, dear. You told me to start a claim and convinced me into a contest (partly out of fear of the bonk ) Your graphics are very nice dear. *ish jealous*
I hope we can continue to talk, because I'm sure I'll have more and more fun with you as I get to know you better. Although, I'm having much fun already. Don't worry, you'll be able to catch up quick!

Well, I'm coming on for a moment using the free internet at a motel somewhere way up in North Texas... and I must say I almost started crying just seeing you mention me like that. I love you, and it's been great to get to know you even a little; you've always been so ready to listen and to chat, and your genuine interest in people amazes me again and again.

I feel blessed to know you too. You really helped me get through a difficult time when we met and I could never thank you enough for that. Your an awesome person and no matter how supportive or encouraging you think I am, I think you are 10 times more. You've been there through everything I've ranted about or had problems with and you've just been a great friend all around. Your friendship means TONS to me as well and I hope I never lose it. And your graphics are becoming amazing, and soon enough I will be pretty jealous over them.

Awwwww I feel exactly the same way. I came back to AU after a year or more of hiatus and everything was so different. The boards were the same but all the people were different. Most of the oldies that I had grown so close to seem to moved on.. many are still here and I can't name them all, but you fellow Oldies know of whom I speak  , but I was still nervous to see a whole new flock of newbies who seemed to already have formed tight knit groups... but I as I posted, you were so welcoming PD and you were one of the newer members to help me tranisition and make me feel as if I have never left. It meant a lot to me and I appreciate what you and many others did to help me get back into the groove of the forums. I feel like I have know you much longer than a month and I feel as if there wasn't a time with PD and your and Aramel's Beckara... haha, I am a lurker on that 
but anyways, congrats on your one year!!!!  and I can't wait to get to know you more! _________________

Hmm, yes, where would you be without me? In all seriousness, I have no idea. All I know is that I can't believe you've only been here one year. I refuse to believe it my dear, I really do. It literally feels like you could've been here since the very beginning of this forum in our original little group of welcomers. Anyway, you've been an amazing friend to me this past year, PD, and I hope you're around for many more random PMs and WT chats. I love you muchly!
As for the longest anniversary post - Did you see mine from last year? I think that one may still pwn all. Not to boast or anything.
