</center>Wow, so it’s been a full year on AU already? Where does the time fly?
I swear it feels like just yesterday when I hit that register button. I was actually reading the entry in my diary the other day from the first day I joined. I didn’t say much except how awesome of a site it was and how I couldn’t wait to post around. But reading it now I sound so stupid. but still, AU has changed my life SO much. I know lots of people say that so it’s probably boring and repetitive by now but every word of it is true. AU has helped me grow in many ways. I’ve found I’m more outgoing now, my beliefs are firmer, I have discovered that there are some people out there who actually enjoy the same things I do. I’ve found a common ground of sorts and a place to come to share my worries and my joys. AU is VERY much a second family and you guys mean the world to me! I don’t know what I would do if I couldn’t “see” you at least a split second every day. 
I swear you wouldn’t think a site could mean so much. I mean, they’re people you’ve never met and it’s just a place where you type and type… but all the typing means something and it’s not just another place. It’s AU. I am convinced there’s not another place anywhere on the net with such caring, loving, clean and fun people! But the long story behind how teh PD came to torment you lovely people… well, a long, long, long time ago (wayyy back when I was first getting into LotR) I was site searching and I stumbled across this one (this is as well as I can remember it) and I saved it. I came on and off for a little while and then it got shoved to the back of my favorites list and it sat there for a long time. Until one day… oh, a little before At World’s End’s release to theaters last year I was cleaning out my favorites list and I came across it again. I decided to look at it and I found the AWE thread. That’s what actually brought me here. You guys seemed to love Pirates so much.
odd, isn’t it? Anyway, so I started reading that thread and then I got around to some of the other parts and I discovered that you people seemed nice here. And then, well, I joined and it’s all history. Everyone here has impacted me in so many ways… it’s impossible to list them all. and now it’s come up on one year already. My brain is still digesting all of it actually. 
But now that I’ve talked everyone’s ear off… here are the personal notes. They are listed in alphabetical order, btw.
and I want everyone who reads this to know that even if you aren’t in this list, you’re still important to AU. From the oldest member to the newest newbie. You all make up AU and that’s all that matters in the long run. And here’s a big huggle for everyone! Aerlinn - well, I know that you’re taking a semi-break from AU for a time, but I still want to include you in my speech. We never talked much but still… your enthusiasm and bounciness have effected me.
and you’re really sweet and welcoming, dear! I feel lucky to get to chat to you on the WT and such… 
you and your Ville Valo (I spelled that right, didn’t I?) obsession is amusing to listen to... but that makes you you and it's special… keep it up! And go for your dreams all the way!Altariel Frodo - first and foremost I really hope your trip is going well (or went well, I’m not sure when you’re gonna get to read this
). But I also want to say how sweet you really are. You’ve always been welcoming to my Pms ect….. Thanks so much! and I really hope we can get to talking more once you return. You seem to be such a hard working fun person! Ánië Súrion - Pip, well, it feels like it’s been a loonnngggg time since we’ve rambled in the AWE thread or in any thread or PM.
but I really hope school and life is going alright for you! I miss seeing you around and talking with you. it seems like we could talk and ramble on FOREVER about almost anything. Hehe. And you were one of the first people here to really talk to me much. You had such welcoming arms to me and I’m so happy to call you friend! and I hope we can get back to all the talking and fun soon…. Hopefully you’re life will slow down, Pip! After all, where is Merry without Pippin? but really just…. Thanks. Your friendship means a lot to me. A lot. 
never doubt it for even a second. I miss you, Anie. and I miss chattering about our obsessions and our pets and our action figures (:lol:) and all that so much... you're just awesome, dear! Aramel Elyanwe - wow, ummm, *long sigh* the adventures of Aramel and PD are too numerous and to amazing to try to narrow anything down.
you know, I cannot say… much of anything now. I’m just sitting here with a smile on my face. My Secret Twin… wow, we’ve been on some adventures, haven’t we? It’s amazing how close you can get to someone you’ve really never seen. And it seems like we’ve talked SO much… even if there are a few things we disagree on… still. I feel like I could be so open with you and you’ll never judge me or anything. And it’s great to be random with you every now and then… although perhaps not quite as much as we were that one Saturday night. 
I think we sampled too much of Jack‘s rum that night or something. Hehe. Even when our fandoms are changing left and right and school butts in and all that we’ve still managed to talk… for which I’ve very grateful. If you ever left for good I would hunt you down and make you come back to your sense, Sherlock! 
you’re a wonderful friend! I can’t thank you enough… and for the support for my OCs too! And my Rping in general. thanks, dear! Gee, I feel like I should say something more… but, hmmm, I can’t think of anything more at the moment. oh, well, I think you know what I’m feeling… if we really are Secret Twins we should be able to communicate telepathically anyway. Lol May the great muffin queens rule forever!

for old times sake, that is. but you know it’s all in good love, right? Anyway, I can’t believe we just “met” earlier this year! You feel like such a brother to me! (not that I really needed another one of those I kid because I care) and I feel really blessed to know you as well as I do. Even if the way we met wasn't the greatest… I wish I could’ve met you at a happier time but then again, I dunno. I think it was probably the best time. Everything happens for a reason, I suppose. but still, thanks for helping me through a lot. It seems like whenever I was down there for a while or depressed or something a desperate PM would always fly your way and you’d respond. *huggles* thanks, Bala. And thanks for all the support with the graphic making. Phew, that’s helped a lot. You’re always there to encourage and help. Dark, Queen of Angmar - Well, sis, I know we haven’t talked much outside of the great and feared Nazgul Club or the family line, but still, you’re a fun person. And you call me and some of the others random and crazy? Yeah, well, you’re the queen of evil random craziness yourself, me thinks.
don’t ever leave AU!Drew's Destiny - I know you don’t come on much anymore, Drew… I hope you shall return again but even still I want to write something out to you. In the hopes that someday you will come on and read it.
I miss seeing you around here too…:erm: but anyway I just want to thank you. I do believe you were one of the first ones here to open your arms to me and reply to my Pms. a brave thing, I must say. But I enjoyed talking you you. You are just a sweet, kind person! And always agreeable. I loved hearing your opinion on the AWE thread and then on the family thread too, sis. And I remember we were sorta “partners in crime” over the whole me marrying Beckett thing. that was great. We’ve shared a lot of lovely/silly times, that’s for sure. I feel blessed to know you even as much as I do. And I truly hope your life calms down more so you can have more time to dedicate to fun. but at any rate, I really want to tell you that you’re such a nice person, Este! I can remember that thread where you said you were leaving AU. Back then I hardly knew you at all so I didn’t feel the keen pain some of the older members felt. But now I sorta know how they must’ve felt… even if I’m still not as close to you as they are. but still, I’m really happy you decided to return to us and therefore I got to see you around and get to know you a little better. And I’m really happy I did. Thanks for sticking around and for just… being there on the WT and… I dunno, just another person to randomly pop on and see and whatnot. ForeverFrodo - we’ve hardly talked at all, but I just have to tell you how much your comments on my graphics ect mean to me, dear.

but at any rate you were always fun to talk to, dear! I know by now it seems like I’ve said this to everyone, but it still holds true! I’m really happy to know you as well! And it seems like you’ve been through so much over this past year or so… and you still have kept strong, dear. That’s the mark of a really special and VERY strong person. I admire you! and my prayers have been with you through all of those times. but anyway back to the present, I must say that I’m really glad for all the random talks we’ve had. No matter how long or short a time they lasted. You’re a big part of AU itself… where would we be without Lar? Miluiel Evenstar - you’ve been a big part of all the PotC stuff here, Millie. In fact, you’ve been one of the few people left who has been dependable as far as keeping the Pirates stuff alive goes.
But you’re nice to talk to… about Pirates and otherwise. And you’re always willing to participate in anything Pirates that comes around. something kind of rare and cool all at once. I’m glad I know you, Mil! And I’m happy to be able to talk about just about anything PotC with you too. anyway, thanks for being there and making up just another aspect of my AU life. [ M i s s J o n e s ] (a.k.a Lothy) - haha, most of the times we have had have just been random encounters. Although the way we sorta started to get to know each other was… odd.

You’re so quiet around AU and sweet… but seriousy you means a lot, Taur. you’re understanding and, you know, we raelly should try to talk more. Cut down our PM size so we can too. Lol Thanks for beinga good friend though! The Nightingale - you’re really amazing too… you’re always willing to back me up and to pray for me and my family. And you know that that means an awful lot to me, Night. But even more than that you’re very… calm and pleasant to talk to. but seriously you have been one of the loveliest friends I have ever had. Just… I don’t know… I really don’t know what else to say for you, dear. I have so much I WANT to say, but there’s really no way of saying it all. Just how supportive and loving and kind you’ve been to me. It’s overwhelming, dear. Hehe, even if you have your strange moments. and all the odd abbreviations and HSM bashing and all that… hehe. And the long smilie posts… ahhh, yes. Lovely times those were…. Or rather still are. and to think we met and formed this lovely friendship all over an argument. Insane how that works, isn’t it? I feel very lucky to know you… and I hope that trip you’re on is going well. And perhaps when you come back we can continue PMing? But I guess with school and all that RL has just gotten in the way of everything fun and good… again.

LolOk, so this speech doesn’t beat Aramel’s 2 year speech QUITE (darn, I was going for something long… oh well) but I think it’s rather good for a first year anni speech.... and it's still close enough to hers.

, but I was still nervous to see a whole new flock of newbies who seemed to already have formed tight knit groups... but I as I posted, you were so welcoming PD and you were one of the newer members to help me tranisition and make me feel as if I have never left. It meant a lot to me and I appreciate what you and many others did to help me get back into the groove of the forums. I feel like I have know you much longer than a month and I feel as if there wasn't a time with PD and your and Aramel's Beckara... haha, I am a lurker on that
