Oh, it's difficult.

Gandalf's death itself was not very sad but the effct it had on the Fellowship was heartbreaking. The reactions from them was really, really sad. And that beuatiful but mournful music along with the slow motion helped to convey what the Fellowship were going through.

Theoden's death was very sad but it's been a while since I have seen ROTK so I can't really remember every detail.

Haldir's death was really sad. What I found to be worss though was the fact that the last thing he ever saw was dozens and dozens of his dead men - all who should never have died. That's sad.

But I voted for Boromir. He was a great man who urged by his father and with the blood of weak men did a bad thing but he redeemed himself in the end. I thought it was so upsetting that even as he had been butchered by Lurtz his only thought was of the "little ones". So moving. :'(

I think Haldirs was the saddest. It is the first time I relized the power of an elf dying. OMG that was just really lame forget I ever said that.

either boromir or haldir, boromir's death was tragic, espesially when he is talking to aragorn and the part in lorien when he was talking to aragorn, made it all the more sader when he died,(when he talks about galadriel saying there was still hope for the white city and all) but haldir's death makes me cry every time, because he is just about to go back to the keep when he is stabed twice, andhe just kinda falls, to his knees and looks down at all the elves dead that he brought to fight, that failed because of him, as if to tell him there was no hope Image

For me, Boromir's death was sad, but I found Haldir's sadder. I guess it pained me to see an elf die.

Boromir, because it took so long. And the last words of him with Aragorn, where he accepts everything. It's just so beautiful and it always makes me cry.

I wote for Haldir's death. The quiet music that suddenly breaks the cacophony of the battle is so gut-wrenching sad.

But the other are also sad.

boromir's death definately...although both boromir's and theoden's scenes had me sobbing...but boromir is so tragic, and i love his character and the way he comes round at the end...may he rest in peace.
