It didnt bother me all that much, I really liked collecting al of them. I have the regular cuts, the EE editions and 2 of the SE. They make my bookshelf look more important

Your bookshelf should already look important with tolkiens fine writings on it and should not need much further embellishment, my moderator friend.

I agree with Dumanyu.

I wished they showed the EE in the theatres right away! The additions are very significant for the story line.

I don't think watching only the theatrical version for non-readers is sufficient enough to tell the story.

That would have been the better option as u say, the changes in storyline help to explain th estory. I suppose tho the changes in story may have confusd somepeople tho.

My friend watched the EE of TTT first, before watching the theatrical version, and she was saying to me, 'Where's the scene with Brego? Where's the scene where Theoden's son is buried?'

So I agree with Eyalan :-D

I first bought all the regular DVD's, and then suddenly there were EE's!! I was really mad, because I just bought all the regular DVD's...didn't had enough money left, so I let it for what it was, and now I still haven't got them... Think I'll ask the box for my birthday.. I have seen the first EE, it was great :D

I don't think it was wrong to offer a regular cut and then the EE. I bought all the regular cuts before I bought any of the EEs. Now I've also got all 3 EEs.
And there are also some people who are not that obsessed with LotR, but still want to have it on DVD. They surely wouldn't buy the EEs.
And having the EE released later than the regular cuts also gave me something to look forward to :-D

Heheh, this doesn't apply to me, since when I saw them for the first time I saw the EEs. I own the EEs now but I still want the theatrical editions because of the extra stuff on them.
