I thought I would just give heads up about the EE behind the scenes for those that may watch it with there kids. I have not seen all of it yet but went through the first disc. There is a section in the bonus features with some kind of a reporter, for whatever reason near the end of his segment he has some guy come up and turn around and pull his pants down to supposedly show a map on his backside. Why they would include this I don't know.

Yeah, sadly two of my sisters were watching it with me so they had the displeasure of seeing it as well. On a bright note the Extended version of the movie itself was really good in my opinion. The behind the scenes are still really good so I wouldn't avoid the rest of it as far as I can tell so far. The scene has nothing to do with the behind the scenes so you are not missing anything to skip it.

:yuck: That's no good. I bet they were not pleased.

That is good. I was really looking forward to seeing the extended versions so I am glad that the rest of everything is all well and good! :D

Yeah we really enjoyed the movie. And the behind the scenes are really interesting, though the language is pretty heavy at times from some of the actors sadly. so the behind the scenes aren't really good for those with kids that they want to keep away from that sort of thing.

Yeah. My kids would probably not be ready for the violence eother, honestly. But O am looking forward to the movie more than the behind the scenes stuff anyways.

The behind the scenes footage for Bot5A has a 15/R rating for the language and innuendo, which is there to warn people against watching it with children.... A bare backside is hardly the most blue aspect of the behind the scenes features from any of the films though.

All of the behind the scenes footage disks for LotR & the Hobbit have contained mature content than the film, so I'm not really sure why you're so shocked & surprised at this one.

The language I was expecting and not shocked about and the talk between actors that was what you would call inappropriate and everything else, I wouldn't say I was shocked but especially the scene I mentioned had nothing to do with the making of the films, I mean the guy wasn't a part of the crew or anything so to me it was a pointless addition. I don't expect people to all act with modesty or anything especially in today's world but it doesn't mean I agree with it. That's all I'm saying and I figured what harm would it do to give people a heads up just in case, that's all.

I agree with Boromir. Most of the language and such things are kind of expected. That type of thing isn't something I would anticipate.

But the point I was making was the rating, and the expectation of the genre is a warning to expect such things.

Personal complaints about dodgy content are a different matter entirely.

Yeah I understand, I didn't think the rating was for the behind the scenes because it didn't mention anything about it being rated for that, because in AUJ EE, they even mentioned it for the fountain scene. So I didn't think to consider that it would include the behind the scenes material. Thanks for clearing it up.

See my EE disks, which are the UK version, have the rating stamped on them. The film disks (1 & 2) and disk 5 have a 12 rating and disk 3 & 4 have the 15 (US R rating) on them :) In the UK at least, the higher rating specifically refers only to the behind the scenes footage.

That's really interesting, I will have to look on my set again and see if I missed it but as far as I remember it doesn't have any kind of rating on the discs themselves or anywhere else, the only place it does is the rated r rating for the violence and gore. Mine is the US edition so there may be a difference. Thanks for the info, that is what I like about this site you get to meet people from all over the world and learn new things, even the little things.

Hm. That is really interesting Lembes. I don't recal ever seeing that on any CDs over here in the US. I actually think that sounds like a really good idea to do it that way.

How much violence was in the movie itself compared to the Theater edition?

Is it worth more or can I just buy the theatrical edition and get the same? (Pleas note, I'm squeamish about gore :hide: )
