Hello :)
I love the third track from The Two Towers soundtrack CD, I was wondering if anyone else likes it too! I'm a massive Eowyn and Eomer fan, and the music really seems to capture their life so well. The use of the violins is beautiful; especially the bit in the track featured in the film, when Eowyn is standing outside Meduseld.
There are some songs in the LOTR sountracks that are really moving and inspiring, and for me this is one of them :)

Ohmygoodness, that is my absolute favorite part of the soundtrack. It is so beautiful... It is Rohan in a nutshell, or should I say, song... :)

haha yeah I agree. I really love that part of the soundtrack. I think Howard did a wonderful job with the Rohan theme and the Rohan music in general. The violins create this special atmosphere that fits to Rohan I think

Oh, that track is simply so perfect! The fiddles, (I think they're celtic fiddles?) do a wonderful job on creating Rohan. The way to tell a good soundtrack is to ask yourself this, does it stand alone without the movie as a wonderful piece of music? Or does it need the footage to lean on?

I think we all know the answer to this! :-D

But gosh, that track gives me shivers!

yeah agree with you. So many people say that the only function of the soundtrack is to support the pictures and that the soundtrack can not make any sense by itself, but of course the LotR soundtrack proves the complete opposite

I'm glad other people like it too! This piece of music is just so moving, I can't really explain just how much I love it - sometimes you just find tracks in LOTR that are so perfect there's no words to say why :)

Yeah, one of my brothers gave me all three movies' music books for my birthday (not at the same time, but it started on my birthday with FOTR), but I'm pretty sure you can find the sheet music online if you look hard enough :)
