Hm... Maybe it is a graphics issue. What type of graphics card so you have?

Like I said, I am no computer wiz but O have heard that inadequate graphics cards can cause the entire game to crash.

Otherwise you may have to contact support. I have done that before and they were kind of slow with their responses but they did help me through the issue. My launcher would crash before I could get the game loaded. But that ended up being my computer not the game.

Probably the first thing they may have you try is uninstaling and removing the entire game from your PC and then reinstaling it to be sure it didn't have a glitch or something during instal.

Hm... That's no fun. I had another laptop that started doing that before I got the one I have now. But it was a pretty cheap laptop and I was surprised it ever ran the game in the first place.

So you think you just need hardware upgrades or just a mew PC?

I play on Landroval. Lv 40something Elven Hunter named Allenil.

I just joined last December and I really love it. Mostly a binge-player though - I go months without playing and then go nuts for a couple weeks and then forget about it again. I've never been in a fellowship quest though, which I'd love to do but I don't really know how to work the social side of it yet.

I've put a little bit of money into it, but much less than I expected. but I've been slowly working my way through each section and getting all the extra turbine points from the quests and such. But I do like that once you purchase something (anything) you no longer have the money cap on your character's purse (which was driving me nuts).

I'm playing on a Mac and haven't had many problems. I had one day that it kept crashing (the game) over and over again which kept screwing up my quests but other than that I've never had any problems. But it's a new macbook pro so it's got a pretty good graphics card. maybe that's what's going on with yours? I would definitely talk to support though and they can help walk you through your specification needs.

Hey, Megan. It is great to see you on the forum!

I used to play a little on landroval but never really got too far there. There is actually an AU kin on Laurelin!! I have, unfortunately, not had the time to get on. I created a character but then just as I was logging in my lids needed me and I have never made the time to go back to it.

I was kind of a binge player... But I would bing for months on end then take a few months off. Lol Once I had kids and a full time job, however... It all pretty much dwindled away. :p

Yeah, little time to do much else other than play with the kids.

I heard some servers have closed down due to lack of use.

Yes. I think the player base is shrinking and the game is dwindling off as a top Mmo

It's still in many of the "Best of" lists like best free to play and such last time I looked but it's not what it once was.

Nice! It's a lot of fun. I've been playing for four years now. What server did you join?

Thanks, I believe I picked Laurelin. Haven't had the chance to play much yet sadly.

Aw, damn. I don't have any toons on that server. Most of mine, including my cap level toon is on Crickhollow. A pity we wouldn't meet up and do quests or something together.

That does stink.

Well, heck... if you have not played much you could always choose a new server. ;)

I keep wanting to get back on that game but every time I think about it I just think of the 3 days it is going to take me to download it just for a few hours of play before my schedule keeps me from getting back on it for a month.... :(
