Demo and Beta are out.
All the races look awesome, even though the elves are weak in close combat.

From what I hear, it is fun, but extremely UnTolkienish, they practically wasted their book rights. I think I'll still buy it though, I need something.

Ive been looking forward to this for since i first heard it was coming out about 1.5 months ago. The create a hero looks brilliant, the chance to alter tha gaming world of middle earth even more.Mr Dark Lord Dragon Rising is going to smite all evil races, Bye Bye elves, bye bye men of the west  .
Personaly i am going going to play as dwarves and goblins and isegard, and anybody looking for a challenge online when it comes out just pm me here.(collectors edition here i come)

really? hmm...alot of games turn out that way at times. i don't play PC Games so i don't really care so much but my boyfriend is a big PC Gamer and he's played every LOTR game so far so he may as get this one as well _________________ And as he looked into her eyes

Ok I don't want to sound like an idiot but what does RTS stand for? Are those like the TT or ROTK video games or is it like the Third Age video game?

RTS: Real time strategy.
Argh... call me a fanatic but I hate how EA dumped Weta's designs. The whole Dragon thing contradicts Middle-Earth lore (Gandalf was involved in the quest of Erebor in the Hobbit because he wanted to get rid of the last great dragon around, Smaug), they got rid of Rohan! (wails) And there Dwarf and Goblin factions... (more wailing) The Elves are ok... But still... It just doesn't have any LoTR feeling for me.

Yo, is the Mouth of Sauron in it? And has Rohan and Gondor combined? These are some roumers I have heard.

It has the Mouth of Sauron in it. He's probably the best of Mordor's heroes, being able to one-shot most Heroes.
Gondor and Rohan are combined as the Men of the West.
