Anybody play any different versions of D&D?

I've recently got into their MMO RPG Neverwinter, which is fantastic, not gonna lie. I'm waiting till I've got my proper PC up and running before I play properly but I've made my character already and it looks so awesome!

I played quite a bit of D&D (TSR 1977 ed.) back in the day. I was the DM for over a year and our little group was quite dedicated to playing every weekend and sometimes on a Wednesday evening as well. I put together a Middle Earth themed game and we traveled all around the ruins of Arnor and were on our way south when the party set up camp in Hollin. For whatever reason, we only met a couple times afterward and didn't really get moving again. The party is still camped there. I think we kind of burned out on D&D, and our next game of choice was a box-game called 'Starfleet Battles'...

O have actually dabbled in a few versions of rpg systems like Fate, Numenera, and Microscope, which is more of a world building game than a rpg. Two of my brothers are total nerds and excellent DMs/GMs. I just kind of follow along. :)

I organized a roleplaying session set in Middle-earth, during which we visited the ruins of Arnor and were making our way south when the group made camp in Hollin. For some reason, we only met a handful times following and didn't really start moving again. The group's camp is still in the area. After tiring of Dungeons & Dragons, we moved on to Starfleet Battles, a boxed game.
