Yeah you would think.

I think they just think they have to change it every time so it's a new version and not the same ild game... But if people liked it the way it was... Why take away? Just add new content.

My issue is that it's become such a social thing. Like dates and friendships is what's it's about now. Not family, work AND friends.

Yeah. I hear ya. I would not appreciate that.

My favorite thing was always the careers and the house/family.

Yeah, I want a mix of both. Usually I have two sims, one who works and one who is at home with kids or whatever. Now it feels like unless you constantly go out and party or whatever your mood gets super low and I'm like GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

Yeah. I usually got both my people up really high career levels and then had kids after that. It is hard to advance both of them with a kid or two.

Hm.... I don't think Inwould like that. It was hard enough at times to keep their mood up without having to ggo party all the time.

I just don't want them to go partying everynight to be happy you know.

Yeah, that makes sense. I wouldn't either.

So you can't even have them all watch tv together and socialize and all that stuff and keep them happy? That don't make sense.

I always loved thigs like playing instruments that would keep their fun up and learn creativity at the same time.

Well, you can mostly do the things as before, but the thing is that with every expansion pack I feel that it's more directed towards patries and such or your sim will be sad.

I see. So the other stuff just doesn't seem as effective?

Then do you have to follow your sim to the party or is it like when they go to work and they are just gone?

You follow them to the party.

Ah. I guess that would be better than the alternative but still, as you said. It seems a little much.

I feel like the Sims becomes more and more aimed at a more mature level of people. There's a lot more romance, there's a lot more socializing needed and parties and stuff. I will give EA credit where credit is due though because with the latest update you can make transgender sims which is a huge leap forward and I love it. Haven't updated my game yet because I've abandoned the fourth game in favor of the third because that one is more fun in my opinion but still.

Yes, I would agree. They do seem to be aiming at a more mature audience. I've not played much since the second or third but I always liked the older ones better. I kind of dipped out on my playing around the 3rd. Tried the 4th for a short while but didn't keep up with it.
