Anyone else play the lego starwars games?

If so what do you all think of them?

I have not played all either. I have played the one where you ca play through the eppisodes 1-6 and I actually thought they were very fun.

Much funner than I expected for a lego game.

Yeah so far out of the lego games I have played. the LOTR one is my favorite. Mainly because of the ability to traverse the world. And it's my favorite movie series too so. lol

I have seen the LOTR but never played it. It looked good, though!

I do love LOTR a lot but I would say if LOTR is a 10 Starwars is about a 10.1 for me. lol But they are so different that it is sometimes hard to choose.

Yeah, you can always say Star Wars is the best syfy and LOTR's is the best fantasy! :-D
But yeah it is a lot of fun to play, especially since they used Howard Shore's music.

*nods* Pretty much what I tell people. lol

They are so vastly different but I love both universes. There are aspects of each that are simply amazing to my mind. It could take me nearly anywhere... :P

But I agree, that getting to travel through the world. Middle earth, or Starwars planets, is one of the coolest things about some of these games. I love visiting places that I "know" from the books and movies.

That's why my idea of a perfect LOTR game would be the open world exploration and character choice option of the Lego game with the graphics and fight capability of the War In The North game. If I could figure out how to do it I could easily see myself overseeing the creation of video games, I have quite a few ideas I would like to see done.

That would be awesome! I have always had tons of ideas as well for games but I have not the slightest knowledge in actually doing the programming or any of that stuff.

That is actually one reason I loved LOTR online so much. It is not completely open world because the maps have boundaries, but you can go almost anywhere on the map. You can visit bree, rivendel the shire, mirkwood, rohan, etc... There lonely in sits in the lonelands and the bridge over the river into the trollshaws.... they did a very good job of keeping the map accurate to the books.

The one thing I wish they did different was make it, like you were saying, more exploration oriented so I don't have to spend 50 hours of gameplay just to get high enough level to be able to survive in certain high level areas.

Such as Moria! There are tons of places to explore! However, unless you are very high leveled you are constantly running around fearing for your life because there is so much down there that can kill you!

If you had an open map with exploration the main goal and still do combat, quests, building stuff... or whatever... it would be suited to more players than just those who are into the fighting and storyline.

Exactly, if I had the money I would go to the developers and pay them to make it and I would oversee it to make sure it is made the way I want it done. My biggest game I want to have created is a video game of Bonanza. I have a ton of ideas for that game!

Yeah. That would be really cool to be able to have it made to specifics like that.

I would, naturaly have the most ideas for a star wars game. I ised to play Starwars Galaxies before they ended it and I had literaly over 100 ideas that would have made the game way more amazing than it already was.

Indeed. If it does let me know! :). That would make dor an exciting game!

My brother has always wanted to make games and knows enough programing to do some simple stuff but he has always wanted to do the same thing basically.

He is kind of on the same minde set. God willing he wants to do it some day.

I want to play the new one just to hear Han Solo say "and wookiee cookies, for Chewie" as he does in the trailer. I'd seriously play through the entire game if I got to hear that, man, best. line. ever.

The trailer which includes that line is on IMDB.com, I believe. I haven't found that specific one anywhere else.
