I thought I would start this so people could check it out. These are not my videos, I don't own this game but because of this I am tempted to get it some time.

Huh.... I've never played Skyrim but it is very neat looking seeing the LOTR mod!

I had to google the original game, because I didn't even know what it looked like. It looks very similar originally anyways but just having that Middle earth touch adds so much for someone like me. I had never given Skyrim a hard look but this tempts me to do so.

How does the mod work? Is it a download? I know if it got very complicated I wouldn't even bother with it personally. I'm not that "advanced" technologically. If it's not simple I won't do it. lol

Same hear. From what I heard it's a download. Since I don't have it personally I'm not sure how difficult it is.

Yeaj, most of the newer games are all going to downloads. (And by newer I mean within the last 10 years) I don't like that, personally... I like a hard copy that I can have.

I'm old fashioned like that as well. I would much rather have a hard copy.

Yup. I got a collectors box for the new Star Wars Battlefront. I was very excited until I opened the box and nothing but a collectors tin with a download code inside!! O_o I honestly thought (Which apparently tons of people thought after I looked into it, because of the way that the item description read on Amazon) that I was getting a collectors tin WITH the CDs inside it! Nope... just a tine with a download code on a piece of paper.... O_o

Not cool. lol

Yeah that stinks. It's not the same to me when it's digital.

No kidding. Lol I guess it's the way of the world, though.

Do games like Skyrim even have CDs? I know LOTR online used to, but it seems like it is all downloading now.

Yeah I believe they do. I have seen it. The Lord of the Rings is a mod you would have to download on a computer for it.

Gotcha. I guess the physical CD hasn't gone as far to the wayside as I assumed.

I do to, but I am a skeptic I guess. I doubt it will. I don't know. Maybe the human nature of wanting something physical will keep a hold on it. Who knows.

I guess, though, bringing it back to the game mods, it is nice that you don't NEED a physical copy. Game mods would be nearly impossible to release on a large scale without a digital download. It would be basically selling a new CD, which might as well be a new game. Kind of.

Yeah I have a feeling if it went digital and then they brought it back they would probably hike the price like they do with the vinyl records.
