One great tip I recently learned is if you have a completed game, there's a way to get the Sword of Isildur. ;-)

First, start a new game and save it in a different slot.

Then, open your completed game and play Evil Mode>Osgiliath. Once you've beaten it, you'll recieve the sword of Isildur. Then, it will ask you to save your game.

Save it in the new game you recently started, and equip Berethor with it.

The sword has a 200+ damage rating. You can cause an enemy to loose 2,000 health points by using this sword once... try it with Ecthalion Wrath or Gondorian Rampage.. moves that use more than one strike of the sword.

Hope this helps! :D

That does help a lot. lol. I went and started a new file and got all the stuff from the evil modes on that file. It goes by a lot quicker. Although I only did it once. In a way, I felt as if I was cheating by doing that. :duh:
The key to beating this game is just like trying to beat any other game.
Patience and Strategy.
If you don't think you are ready to face a particular enemy go and level up for a little bit and work on mastering your abilities. It gets to be a little monotonous after a while but, at least you know you are prepared. Oh and sometimes certain enemies are easier to beat with certain characters in your battle party. You just need to figure out who works and who doesn't.

If anyone is still having trouble with this game, I'm still more than happy to help. I actually am almost done with another file. I'm doing some of that "leveling up so I know I'm ready." Plus, I'm determined to master the skills. :annoyed:

I love this game! It molds into the original story line so smoothly(Well... aside from the group helping Gandalf at the Bridge of Kazad-dum. That's the one battle I don't like because it doesn't fit as well with the story, considering... that and the first Watcher in the Water battle.).

My dad thinks it's boring since it's turn based. But I love how when you upgrade the armor and such you can see the changes on the character down to the brooches.
