lol sorry about mispelling your name. Haldir's opened Quenya and Sindarin discussion threads where we can converse in those languages, so if your thread doesn't do too well, you'ld be welcome over there!

oO i just figured out that my real life name in elvish is NOT 'Mantheniel'! on the A-U name translation area, it said that 'Veronica' is 'Mantheniel' in elvish, but it isnt! I just dug up the meaning of my name and I discovered that my elvish name is 'Theninthîr'!

Cool! My real name (Elyssa) in Quenya is Lissalmie. (I translated it myself. ) Actually, there are several possible meanings it could have, depending on which name you say it's a form of: Elizabeth "gift of God" (i think); elysium "sane and logical" (that white flower that's good as a ground cover ); and Elysia "sweetly blissful" (as in Elysian Fields in Greek Mythology). I chose to take the third meaning, which fits me the best. Lissa=grace, sweetness; and almie=bliss, if i'm correct.

Ok, I'm looking for an Elvish translation of the word 'ouch' or 'pain'
(If you find a translation for it could you give me a link to where you found it?)
