Is there anybody here who knows about the language to Nùmenor who was Adunaic? Do somebody have any links where I could learn it? |

Adûnaic was the spoken language of the people of Nùmenor. However, I don't know much about the language itself as I haven't studied it (yet). Other than the source material you can find some information in a good course by Thorsten Renk. I've only glanced through the Adûnaic course but I've enjoyed his Sindarin and Quenya courses and think that his would be a good place to go. The website is http://www.phy.duke.edu/~trenk/elvish/ and you scroll about 1/2 way down to page to find the course "Ni-bitha Adûnâyê" which will probably give you what you were looking for. From what I do know Adûnaic does not have a substantial vocabulary (at least nowhere near the size we see with Sindarin or Quenya). Also aside from the source material and Thorsten's course I'd recommend this article by Helge K. Fauskanger http://www.uib.no/people/hnohf/adunaic.htm . Hope this helps you out! Enjoy! Erythen |
