I'm not very good on the languages side of things so is nyarnamaitar Quenya or Sindarin?

Tengwar is written differently for Quenya and Sindarin. The Tengwar you have on the first image appears to be written in a Sindarin mode (I can't see it that well though) whereas the second image is written in a Quenya mode.

Let me know which language it is and I'll transcribe it for you. I'll have to draw it by hand then upload a photo of the drawing because I don't have the fonts on this laptop.

It's Quenya -- and attested in PE17 even (in Roman letters). Good to see the choice of a Tolkien-attested word for a tattoo!

The language, like Elthir said, is in Quenya. So logically you should use the Quenya mode for writing Tengwar, that's the second picture. And am I remembering wrong or have I seen this asked before on Yahoo answers?
