I was wondering if you guys can help me translate "lunar". I know moon is "ithil", but how would lunar be? Thanks in advance!

Okay... So basically what you want is to turn "moon" into an adjective. in Quenya, there are several ways to do this. Just add -a Just add -ya Just add -wa/-va (has the meaning "of", like "of the moon" Old/Vanyarin Quenya: Ithila Ithilya Ithilwa Noldorin Quenya: Isila Isilya Isilva In Sindarin, there's only one really productive adjective maker: -ui. So, in Sindarin, you'd end up with Ithilui. There is another adjective making suffix that isn't very productive: -eb. You could arguably also make it Ithileb too. |
