In Sindarin, there's a word for 'beautiful' (bain) but there doesn't appear to be one for 'beauty'. I'm sure there are many more words like this that seem to come without roots. In English you can tack -ness or -ity onto the end of an adjective to make it a noun. Can anyone make a guess at how someone would do this in Quenya or Sindarin?

In Sindarin, there's one way that I can think of right off the top of my head. It's the suffix -as. (found in belt>bellas, bregol>bregolas, hand>hannas and so on) So, to make a noun for "beauty". I'd say "Bainas".

Quenya has a bunch of different suffixes for noun-making from adjectives.
-sse (aica>aicasse) -le (aica>aicale) -e (aira>aire) -ie (verya>verie)
