“Tenna’ san’, Quel kaima, Quel du.” (which I think means: Until next we meet, sleep well, good night") I picked up this phrase writing my lord of the rings book about the last alliance. This ends the book when my *cant tell who* does something of great importance. If you want to know the truth, pm me!

Suilad, hir nin! Im glassen *sa telinnel an phedi Sindarin ammen. (Greetings, sir!--lit. "my lord," since i see you belong to the Gents' Society :) -- I'm glad that you have come to speak Sindarin with us. I'm not sure that "sa" is valid for "that" in Sindarin as well as in Quenya...but i don't know what other word to use right off hand.)

'Quel mrun, Nae saian luume'. (Good Morning, it has been far too long) Diola lle, EarielMaurwen, ten' creoso amin. (Thank you, EarielMaurwen, for welcoming me.)

Yes, I am from the gents place, however I think it is healthy that we dont all stick in the same place. We can converse with the (dont take this rudly) girls or women.

Sure Telpeath! I'm horribly bad at the grammer tho ... I can teach you words if you like!

Common words::
Mae govannen = well met (a greeting)
Suilad = greetings
Hannon le = thank you
Mellon = my friend (singular)
Mellyn = freinds (plural)
nín = my
nin = me

So those are really commonly used Sindarin words 8) Anythign else you would like to know? (sorry I'm a very clueless and horrible teacher :blush: )

Hmm there's not actually an already-made greeting for that, so I put good ('maer') and day ('calan'), and it made it into "maer calan" (good day)

it could be used as 'hello' OR 'goodbye' :)
