I see you've found the site that was mentioned previously in this thread (Your Sindarin Textbook). I'm assuming that's what everyone else has been talking about. It's actually one I haven't seen before ... will have to check it out! :)

There are other resources out there too:

Studying Elvish Tools including Workbooks - Council of Elrond

Quenya Course - Ardalambion

Quenya Course - Thorsten Renk

Sindarin Course - Thorsten Renk

Thanks so much - my friend and I are trying to learn Elvish together and it hasn't been going so well. I tried to write my own textbook, but I had no idea what's real Elvish and what's Grelvish.

Okay I think we have everyone! If someone else joins someone can be in charge of catching them up!

Now we need a day to learn it!

Lalaithnindil I love your avatar! I love that movie!

Thanks! Just wondering - has everyone else had the same problem I'm having with the first lesson of Your Sindarin textbook??? I'm having trouble understanding exactly how I need to write everything. I think I finally understand it, but I want to make sure it's not just me. Meleth_Legolas seems to be having the same problem.

Ah... so that's the Sindarin Textbook. I'm a bit embarrassed now, since Fiona (dreamingfifi), its creator, has been asking me over IM to look at it for quite a while now, and I still haven't. I used to help with Quenya on her site, but haven't been there for a while. I'll have to check it out tomorrow, and give a review later on. It's 2 AM here! I have to get some sleep (after reading too much fanfic).

Note to self for tomorrow: Á cenda i parma sindarinwa Fionanen apa síra! / **Cenno i barf edhellen na Fiona aphadol sír!

Post subject:  Teaching Sindarin

Hello :bounce:,
I just found this site and am impressed :). Anyway I've been studying Sindarin for the last two years, and I'm willing to teach/work with anyone who is really serious about learning Sindarin (I have 21 credits this next semester so I don't have time for those who think it is cool but won't put any effort into it). I am by no means an expert like Helge Fauskanger, David Salo, R. Derdzinski, or Thorsten Renk (just to name a few), but I enjoy the language and have a number of resources that might help. If your interested please PM me.

Thanks,
Erythen :bye2:

Okay...seeing as nobody's posted in here for like two months, it's probably pretty useless say I'd like to join, if anything happens here.

But I will anyways. I think doing lessons together is a brilliant idea, btw.
