Dear Forum fellow members,
I have come to seek your help and support. You might be aware of the big mystery surrounding the Fellowship Festival this year in the UK. Are you aware of it? I am in noway asking you to take part in any feud or trouble regarding the festival as it is not our purpose and intentions at all.
We have managed to keep in touch with 4 other members, and we are now in the process to put together a fan convention based in the UK for the Tolkien fans and LOTR films fans. We have started the process in terms of organisation , and things should be underway very soon. We are hoping an event end of September.
Our organisation is in the process of being registered as a charity, our aim is to celebrate Tolkien's work in a total genuine spirit.
At this stage , we need all the UK based fans as well as worldwide to know that we exist and that regardless the outcomes on the fellowship festival, an alternative convention is being organised in the UK. We do not want to be ssociated with the FF nor do we want to mention it on our website or compete with it.
Please do not hesitate to visit our modest website as well as our forum. Unfortunately I have not had time to do any art work for the avatars of my website so I borrowed few of your creations and credited them as you have asked anyone who would save them to do so. The website is being updated on a weekly basis, this week being its first week, you will not find a completed site. however, our forum is up and running. So please, do not hesitate to join us there, should feel concerned and should you sympathise with our cause.
If you feel that you could contribute in anyway to the success of OneRingVision fan convention, please join us. We do not have any religious, political or other materialistic orientated ambitions. Our sole ambition is to be able to reunite Tolkien fans in a real Tolkien's spirit in the most entertaining and enthusiastic manner. All profits will be redistributed to environmental concerned organisation as well as to the organisations supported by our special guests. They re all to be confirmed, this is the reason why I have not named them as yet.
