The films came first for me. I watched the films last August (August 12 of 2006) for my birthday. However when the films first came out my aunt drove me near insane with LotR. Though to be honest I didn't understand what she was talking about. She would get excited and speak in fragments and wasn't none to good explaining about what a Hobbit or such was...not that she stopped to do any explaining. I quickly became confussed. lol Then I became obsessed with Orlando Bloom. I read that he was in the Lord of the Rings and read all that I could find on Elves and LotR. Though I did want to call Legolas, Lego...(laughs) people that I talked to about "Lego" thought that I had literally lost my mind. Yes, at First I watched LotR for Orlando Bloom and am not ashamed because of it.
So anyway for my birthday I watched all three of the Lord of the Rings back to back to back. At that time I didn't have acess to the books. Then I got the books for Christmas and am now reading them (I'm on TTT chapter 5). That's my LotR story.

*hovers over exremely hot fire as he begins to tell a story.*It began one foggy night. The TV was on a strange and interesting channel as a advertisement for Lord of the Rings turned on. As the movie began, i watched as a strange, almost poop in your pants scary was speaking about some lame rings. As this unfamiliar voice finished, i instantly became lost within the world. After the movie was over, which only seemed to last a few minutes, i quickly drenched my eyes, since my contacts were practically hard. Once seeing the Fellowship, which was the movies name, i couldnt get over it, i wanted more. Almost like an addiction, only not so fun. I watched the rest of the movies, and read the books! *Coat catches on fire as he quickly runs to the lake, so he doesnt end like Denethor!*
In short, i saw the movies! But i loved it ever since.
PS: Im reading the Sim.
PSS: and making nots
PSSS: SUCH A GOOD BOOK!

I first watched FotR and TTT, then I read the books. I finished RotK before I saw the RotK movie though.
