I found out that my Algebra Teacher likes Tolkin! I went to ask him a question and his bag was open and I saw The Hobbit. I asked him about it and we had a small chat about it. So dose any one here have any LOTR loving teachers and adults?

My youth pastor/ pastor is into LotR! It's awesome-he'll use LotR examples in his sermons sometimes!

Well I don't go to school, but my mom likes Tolkien enough to get us a literary program based off of Lotr.... All my other co-op teachers are fine with LotR, but I wouldn't say they like it. Also my youth pastor likes it I think, just not in detail...his wife said that they watched all three of the movies back to back.

Well, my aunt likes LotR and she's like 31. In fact the first time I watched RotK it was her dvd (that I had borrowed). However we don't like the same characters and we don't have the same opinions on LotR. So we still argue....even over LotR. Then my other aunt and uncle also like it and we talk about it sometimes. So I know a few adults who love LotR. :-D

Well, I think my youth group leader likes LotR, but we don't really talk about it much. Other than that no one I know. *sigh* I wish I had a LotR-loving teacher...

I don't really know any lotr loving adults, except for some of my cousins, but they're hardly what you would call adults.

well my English teacher was asking me alot of stuff about the Tolkien books and she said she'll have to see the movies again but when she saw i was reading the Silmarillion for English class, she started asking me a bunch of questions. i think she's getting into it now!!! :)
but ohter than that...well my friends dad got me into it. he planned a party over a weekend to watch all three EE of LotR. that's what got me started. but he has like all the books i think and he's really into it...but we don't talk much about it. but sometimes we'll get into a short conversation about LotR. but that's about all the adults i know that like it.

My Dad introduced me to Tolkien! He read all the books to me when I was little (even after I could read on my own).

Cool, I think the guy who runs the Youth Group at the Methodist Church must like LOTR because he has the Veggie Tales, the Lord of the bean

My 8th grade teacher was one of the original Tolkien fans :-D I went to his house one time and he had a HUGE antique sword collection, lots of first edition Lotr stuff, a suit of armor, and his dog's name is Mellon. We had Tolkien week in his class where we learned about the history of Lotr instead of real history.

He was actually a major contributor to my obsession since he was my teacher a couple of months after lotr came to theatres.
