Answers:
Book Question: Caradhras appeared red to the Fellowship. Also (as pointed out to me by PotR) hence its name, Redhorn.
Movie Question: Legolas pulls an arrow out of an orc skull, says "Goblins!" and notches an arrow. The first shot you see him do it, he's in the background behind Aragorn.
New Questions for August 10:
Book: What, in Sam's hobbit tales, were the riders of Oliphaunts called?
Movie: What is the design on the clasp of Theoden's cloak?

Book Question: The riders of Oliphaunts were called Swertings.
Movie Question: A circle with a stylized sun in it, and a jewel in the centre. (Most of you who answered got the basic idea of this, so I know you had the right thing, even if you didn't all call it a sun.)

Book: Who was the last king at Fornost, who reigned during the days of Malbeth the Seer?
Movie: How many of Gondor's beacons, starting with the one Pippin lights, can be seen being lit, total?
