I'm trying to find some way to acquire the ingredients for lembas bread so I can make some with my friends for September 22, as the floor lounges in my residence hall have kitchenettes with ovens. If that's unsuccessful, we can always just have a feast in the Union at dinner that day.

there's only six ingredients in it - maybe you could ask a friend to make a run to the store for you! or of course ask if you can have a second breakfast, some elevensies, afternoon tea, and supper in addition to breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I'm sure the Union won't mind.

The recipe is simpler than I expected, having re-read it. The only thing that concerns me is the egg that's needed. I have a mini-fridge so I'd have a place to put the egg, but there's no sense in buying a dozen eggs if you're only going to use one. Hmmm...I must ponder this for a while.

options... hm, either borrow one from someone who does keep a dozen eggs, or see if your store sells them by the half-dozen. you could at least use them up faster.

I'm going to have to double the recipe for lembas next time. I made some today and I only have three left. it appears that the whole family likes it, though so much for the one-small-bite rule.
