Sure, if when I arrived there I was magically wearing armor, and weapons, and I had gained the ability to properly use all of the weapons that I was given.
Would you still be willing to become a part of the fellowship if your being there meant that you took the place of your favorite character, making where that character had never been born/created?

No. That would mean Sam didn't join the fellowship and without him Frodo would have failed.
Have you read any other books of Tolkien's outside of LotR and Hobbit?

The Silmarillion, The Children of Húrin, Unfinished Tales, The Book of Lost Tales part 1 and 2, Tales from the Perilous Realm, Roverandom, The Legend of Sigurd and Gudrún, and currently reading The Monsters and the Critics. And I know it's already been answered but I want to answer it too! Bellatrix wrote:

Since I first saw Fellowship of the Ring in the cinema when I was 10. (So 11 and a bit years )
