I don`t exactly hate them... if they`re good written or a nice movie, I like them ^_^ But if the humour is sick then please.. back off.

Yeah, the very secret diaries are a bit odd. Though I did like the joke about Elrond trying on pretty purple dresses. That may just be me though. And I do agree, some parodies are taken too far, and just arn't fuunt. But only some. Others are pretty funny. I especially like Jerry the Frog. Those are funny, and they have puppets!
And Frodo Sam slash. I joke about it, but I really know that it is a deep friendship that they share. Its just friendship! Hobbits are like that, so back off slashers! Slash in general is stupid. Try to twist the relatioships of anybody in Lord f the Rings, and I will hunt you down ad....do somthing really bad! Like cut off your head with a scimitar!

I saw a french lotr cartoon once. It was really funny, cause Boromir looked like a viking... it wasn't very good, but the funny thing was that they all looked really silly. We didn't understand a thing what they said tho.
I kinda think the secret diaries sound funny. But I haven't read them so I shan't say anything.

I think I've already posted here, but I'm back to add more to what I said before.
I really don't mind parodies as long as they don't insult LotR or turn it into something terribly disgusting and pervertive.
I've found that a lot of fanfics about LotR tend to be really inappropriate and insulting to Tolkien. Those kinds I don't like at all...

did u ever watch that one on YouTube called 'They're Taking the Hobbits to Isengard'? its the BEST!!! i could watch it over and over again for the entire day and not get sick of it ... its so awesome! _________________

I really enjoyed the secret diaries though, i think some people take lotr parodies just a little too seriously. they were made in fun after all!

"They're taking the Hobbits to Isengard is absolutely fabulous!!! I love it, and also re-watch it when I see it.
Most of the parodies are okay, except for these:
- Messing with the friendship between Frodo and Sam
- Messing with any friendship
- Messing about Legolas being very keen on his hair and clothes (I'm sick of that)

I definitely agree Lhun! I especially dislike the ones with Legolas and his stupid hair/clothes obsession. It's completely ridiculous and insulting!
