I don't know if this is a thread already, but I wanted to know if anyone happened this: You're reading (or watching) LOTR and suddenly someone who has never seen it asks you a very stupid question that made you feel like :confuzzled:

For exaple:

I was reading TTT and was at the chapter "the taming of Smèagol". My mom looked into the book and suddenly she looked at me and asked: Who needs to be tamed here? I was like: Smèagol. She: Who is Smèagol? Is it a horse?

Oh, that happens to me quite often! I am surrounded by people who have no idea who Gimli for example is! They always ask me that stupid questions!

Hehe...The best one I've gotten (and my friends and I still have not let her forget it) was, "Okay, so...The short guy's Gandalf, right?"
*bangs head on desk*
Actually, it was pretty funny. I normally hate getting asked stupid questions about LotR, but that one was just so utterly stupid that I couldn't get annoyed.

My friend asked me once: "Is Gimli the guy with the blonde hair?" Oh I blew up after that one. ihad been rambling on and on about Legolas, cuz he was Orli and he still forgets?! Also once was "Uhm... that horse place...Gondor right?"

XD My friends can be so clueless!

In FotR, when Legolas says, "The horn of Gondor!", the 1st time my brother watched it he asked, "This 'Gondor', is that a bad guy?"

When my brother first saw FOTR he asked "Why don't they just smash this ring with a sword?"

Today I told my friend that I was going to watch The Two Towers on my birthday, and she said, "Does it come out then?" *sigh* I feel sorry for her, not having been properly exposed to LotR. lol

Today my little brother asked me: "Has anyone ever remade LOTR?"

During the Siege of Minas Tirith, Dad leaned over and whispered "Wow, Dumbledore really kicks butt!" I replied with "Dumbledore? Don't you mean Gandalf?" To which he answered "Who's Gandalf?" :duh:
