They changed the game somewhere along the way i think. I had noticed, looking at the original pages here recently that they did indeed not always start with the assigned letter. Somewhere along the way it started going that direction, however. Not sure where.

There's an easy-to-guess reason why most of the words start with the letter in question: the companions / guides / encyclopedias / lexicons are sorted alphabetically by the first letter ...  just to be ornery  HEnnEth Annun _________________

Actually Finde, when the game started you were not allowed to have tripple letters I think. It was ONLY double. However that is another one of those things that has morphed over time and we regularly (at least I do... ) post ones with tripple letters such as Pippin. Lol So all is well that ends well! S-SamwiSe
