Hi guys i just got my One ring.

Made by a local GoldSmith, cost me around 8000 indian rupee(approx USD 200 ). but in 22 Ct gold and weighs 8gms.

I've got two One Rings...
12-13 of my friends own the One Ring...

I'm quite amused to see packages of TLotR bookmarks come with six One Rings... :-D

oh god! friends,

i think i got it really cheap. especially when i consider the quality of the material and finish. Do you know the original one ring, created by Jens Hanson of NZ, costs 1200+ USD to you! and it is in 18Ct gold. But it'll be a piece of great craftmanship.

Oh boy, i had real trouble in making it. this poor chap, my goldsmith never knew anything about lotr. no wonder, in my whole village, i'll be the only one ever heard of it!. i had to show him many pictures of it in my Computer and instruct him wuth all the drawings. But i should say that he did a real great work. it has wonderfull finishing with elvish script beautifully written on it. both of the couplet. one along the outer face and the other along the inner face of it.

The stuff you buy over net dont have good material quality. i mean most of the case it is a coated or palted with gold. So i'll advice you to go for a local made one. you can make it with really good material. if your goldsmith is competent, it'll look exaclty like you see in movie.

i got mine at a LotR exhibition.its not real gold or anything but it looks great anyway.they had proper gold rings there but they were a bit out of my price range!

I was gonna buy a 15 euro Ring in Minas Tirith--I mean Le Mont-St-Michel. [If you don't know what Le Mont-St-Michel is, google image it, and it looks just like Minas Tirith! kinda...]

Fwee! That's cool, I personally don't have the one ring. :( I have the Evenstar though, I think that cost me £70, which was the most I've ever spent on jewellery. :lol: But I love it.

Yeah, I've got a cheapo ($4) one too. But I like it. (If I get a piece of real LOTR jewelry I'll get the Evenstar pendant, but I want the pretty sparkly $95 one, so right now my little aluminum - or whatever - Precious is the extent of my LOTR jewelry.)

yeah...a freind got mine for me for christmass...its steel...and it came with a bookmark....oh well its super cool anyway.
