Have you ever stood on the parapet at Helm's Deep, watching the orcs draw nearer? Have you ever crouched in a refugee hall knowing that any second the place would explode? Have you ever stood side-by-side with Pippin at Minas Tirith, knowing every moment could be your last?

I have. I have ridden with Aragorn to the Black Gate, fought in the Battle of Minas Tirith and helped men of Rohan at Helm's Deep. I have been threatened by orcs and worst of all experienced the terrible feeling of knowing I could be killed that hopefully none of you will ever.

Here is my story…

I stood upon one of the great many walls of Minas Tirith, but I looked not upon the fields of the Pelennor. There was a vast forest instead, and through the trees I saw torches bobbing up and down. I felt dread, a terrible feeling in the pit of my stomach. They were orc-torches.
I didn't want to fight. I was too young to die! I turned to Gandalf, who stood next to me. "Is there…um…a safer place I could be?" He looked at me gravely.
"There is a safer place we could all be, but now we must stand and fight."
Well, that didn't help much. I glanced over at a Gondor soldier, who beckoned for me to follow him. I did, and he led me down behind a wall to a set of narrow stairs. A refugee hall.
"What if the place blows up?" I asked warily. He shrugged.
"Then you're dead." He turned and walked back up the stairs.
I lay in the quiet room, listening to the fighting above. I guess I was a coward, too cowardly to fight. I ran up the stairs and drew my knife. But there was an orc there. He grabbed my neck and snarled, "There was another orc here who ate one of your kind. Watch out, you might be next." As he turned away I stabbed him in the back. Even so, I grimaced. I hated fighting. I descended the stairs again and tried to sleep in the refugee hall, hoping I'd wake up when it was over. But instead I woke up.

^^ Okay, so I left out the part about us developing the atomic bomb and wiping out the orcs, or the part where the green SUV's came in and we had to sign legal documents before fighting. I also had one last night where my friend and I had to dress up the Riders of Rohan's oliphaunts before they charged...and yes, I know the RoR didn't have any oliphaunts. But hey, it was a dream. Does anyone else have dreams about LotR? I've had many more but I'll tell them after you've told some of yours.

Yes I have my Elf friend, it started like this:

I opened my eyes to find my self standing in Helm's Deep, to my right stood the Elven company and to my left Master Haldir was standing. I looked forward and the herds of Orcs were getting closer with every step the took. I looked around me with fear, I then looked at Master Haldir, he looked back at me and said "Don't be afraid. This night will end soon, remember that I'm here with you."
I held my bow tight and closed my eyes for a minute, I could hear the Orcs breathing and Gimli's voice arguing with Legolas (as if that was hard to miss) that brought a small smile to my face. Aragorn was ecouraging the company and I listened. Then it started to rain, I did not wear any armour so I got really wet and cold but that was the least of my worries. The Orcs finally arrived and they stood in fron to the main wall looking at us. Aragorn now comanded us to take aim, I drew my arrow and aimed at one of the Orcs in the front. I could hear Legolas' voice advising the weak point in the armour of the Orcs, so my arrow was aimed perfectly there, around the neck.
The n one of the arrows was shot by accident and one of the orcs fell, soon all of them were running towards the wall soon arrowas were flying in the air and killing Orcs at will. The ladders were raised and the Orcs began to climb up the wall I killed as any as I could with my arrows but they were too many. The company around the ladder stepped back, I climbed to the top of a pilar and from there I shot my arrows, everyone hitting it's target.
Then my eyes cogh the shine of the tourch that was going to be used to blow up the Deeping Wall. I could then hear Aragon's voice shouting "Legolas!!! Kill him!!!!"
I shot a few of my arrows at him it was in vain, the wall blew. The Orcs inavede Helm's Deep. I drew my knives and began to fight hand to hand with the Orcs. Like that I countinued long ad hard. The Orcs would prefer me because of my lack of armour and because I was the oly woman there, suck cowards they were.
Soon Aragorn gave the signal to come to the keep, and then it happen. One of the Orcs came behind Master Halir and layed his ax on my lord's head. At first I saw the orc and tryed hard to get there but it was too late, I gave another look and screamed with all my strength:
"MASTER HALDIR NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Then I woke up, sweating and crying, I could not sleep for the rest of that night. It even called my mother's attention, she came running to my room. I wanted to keep this for my self that night so I told her "Just a nightmare mother, nothing to be scare of."
It was scary my Elf friends, very scary...

Wow, this was very detailed! Exactly the way it happens in TTT... Scary indeed.
I've had LotR dreams, but most of them were a bit... hm... strange. Orcs taking over my house, orcs trying to kill my friends and so on..

Well.. I don't think I'll be able to explain it well.. I couldn't explain it to my friends in Spanish,so in English...

Well.. I'll try

We were in a joruney, seven girls and seven boys, doing rafting. Suddenly, I saw Aragorn and the others in the river. The orcs were in a reallt big ship with.. Captain barbossa !!

Then, We helped Aragorn and the others and we saw another big ship... The Black pearl... but there was not any Orly or Johnni Deep, but Colin Farrel dressed as legolas (try to imagine that, lol) and a strange man as Aragorn (uglier than Viggo, I promise).

So, the tow ships began to fight, and Colin, two boys, a girl and I down from the ship... and we appear in Minas Tirith. I stood up and I saw the Mordor army coming to our position. We ran and we appeared in... Rivendel. There, Bilbo and Gollum were arguing about the Ring.

I dunno how, I became the Ring bearer and, with Colin farrel, Aragorn (now Viggo) Jack Sparrow, Will Turner and Legolas (so, two Orlando Bloom) we went to Moria. The tow Orlandos were everytime arguing who was the most handsome between them... really annoying..

(i cannot remember what happens next, the only thing I remember before I woke up was Gollum and Frodo fighting with laser sword in Mount Doom ()^^)

So sorry about all the mistakes. I know the dream sounds strange, but it was really strange really...

But then again, arguing, u were not so lucky after all...

You guys have very detailed dreams. I've had a few involving me fighting at Minas Tirith with Legolas, me getting married to Legolas and going to the Undying Lands, and me bieng wounded at Helm's Deep and bieng taken to Rivendell on horse back by Aragorn......there are plenty others that I can't remember at the moment.

LOTR characters seem to come into modern settings in my dreams... just the other day, Eomer was in a shop with me- he was still wearing full Minas Tirith battle gear! Very strange...

im prone to have very weird dreams and onw time i had an extreamly weird lotr dream cant really remember it though only that it was lotr and very stange i remeber i was fighting as helms deep with eowyn and merry was there too then they started like making out thats all i really remember though

I just have strange LOTR dreams. Once I had one that Baradur (can't remember how to spell it) was on top of my garage! lol.

AGHHHHH wierdest dream ever last night... Darth Vader was fighting pain droids in my garage, my dog was trying to drive a truck, my front garden had somehow turned into part of the Shire and all four hobbits were drinking tea and making a mess of the lawn...

Reading this is fun..

I can remember I dream once there was an orc standing before me and he was going to shoot an arrow at me. Reminds me of Boromir..

I really love having a good dream, but alas most of the time I can't remember my dreams. This is one I will never forget:

I was living in Rivendell. I was Elrond's youngest daughter, so I had a sister and two brothers( Arwen and Elladan and Elrohir) I was very happy. Just practising my bowmanscraft, riding on my horse, walking throw the woods and kill some Orcs time by time.
Then I was going to Lothlorien, together with Arwen. Just before we left, Elrond told me that Galadriel was my mother...
In Lothlorien I met Legolas, and Arwen promised me to tell nothing about it to Elrond, if I would keep my mouth shut about her and Aragorn.
When we were back in Rivendell, Elrond told me that I had to marry Aragorn. And I really didn't want it. But that didn't make a point..
So when I was marrieing him, Legolas was turning up, he told my father that he loved me. And so I didn't had to marry Aragorn..

It's a bit weird but it was a very good dream.

I was with Aragorn at the foot of Mt Doom. The mountain was crashing down, but Aragorn said he had to go up. I screamed at him, telling him to not do it, but he did anyway. I tried to hold him back, but I couldn't...that was the end.

I've also had a dream when Gollum was dancing about in the driveway, but the dream had no plot, or else I just forgot it. I've also had dreams with orcs. I was at the top of a mountain, and there was a whole host of them, banging their pikes on the ground like they do in TTT. It was so scary that I woke up crying!

lets see, ive had a dream where weird ppl were trying to take over the world, but then the three friends (leg, gim, and ara) came in and helped me save the day.
