I am curious, am I the only one around here who memorizes bits and pieces of the books and then acts them out or simpley quotes them? I absoluetly love acting the LotR scenes! I want to and plan to become an actress and I love LotR though... so I guess that it kind of fits. However I can get some odd looks when I do the whole acting out LotR scnes thing. So does anybody else act out LotR scenes? If you do then what ones are your favorite ones to do? Personaly I enjoy all of Ewoyn's lines and several of Arwen's and Galadriel's lines. I enjoy doing a few other charaters lines but those three character's scenes are my favorite to do. Um, my favorite of each would have to be Eowyn's speach "All your words are but to say: you are a woman, and your part is in the house. But when the men have died in battle and honour, you have leave to be burned in the house, for the men will need it no more. But I am of the house of Eorl and not a serving woman. I can ride and weild blade and I do not fear either pain or death. A cage to be held behind bars until use and old age accept them and all chance of doing great deeds is gone beyond recall or desire. And yet you counselled me me not to adventure on the road that I had choosen beacause it is perilous? " Then of course Galadriel speach about Frodo offering her the ring and...well I won't quote it for you because it is long and I have allready quoted more than need be. (sorry) lol  Um as for Arwen her lines to Aragorn in the movies where he dreams or her. :-D You get the idea so Galdriel's big speach to Frodo from FotR, Arwen's lines in the dream scene, and Eowyn's speach to Aragorn in RotK. Now before I ramble on anymore...what scenes do you most often act out or quote in entirety?

I quote a lot of everyones, what every quote works at that time. I like Sam's, Arwen's, Eowyn's, and Aragorn's a lot. My and my friends always act out Legolas and Gimil's drinking scene, small parts of battle and Eowyn's "I am no man" scene. And lots of other.

I love quoting. I quote the books as well as the movies. I like quotes from most of the characters. LotR is a wonderful story for quoting I think

My friend and I quote all the time. Anything from "I am no man" (as Murtagh's M said) to "Stupid fat hobbitses!"

I do! I like to, whenever I get the chance. Any quote that might even remotely relate to the situation, I'll use. ;)

I quote movies a lot... the most quoted are LotR, Princess Bride, and Strange Brew, but every now and then a quote from another movie (like Henry V) will pop in...

^ Hmmm, yeah, quote SW a lot I do.
Mostly DarthVader, as one of my mini-nicknames (not used much) is DarthVader, cuz of my cloak out in the desert... guess I looked like Darthy.

I tend to quote a lot of Aragorn, i expecially like his speech outside the Black Gates of Mordor. I know it off by heart :) I have a list of all my favourite quotes and Boromir's 'I would have followed you my brother...' is my favourite one.

I used to be able to quote the entire bath scene from FOTR. "...is water hot that leaps on High!" I quote the "po-ta-to" lines too! My family LOVES to quote stuff... even when they may be a little embarrasing...

I quote... everything :teehee: As much as possible. I forcefully try to find myself in situations that would require quoting LotR films and books.
:D

I like to quote! I know more of the movies than the books bcs I (with some friends) made our own version of Lotr, mostly based on the movies. I learned a lot of lines playing different characters.

When I find a quote from either book or movie that fits into life, I say it as maybe a reply for a question. Like, at one point at the beginning of my first Middle-school year, I had short hair and looked like a boy and so someone thought I was and I told them "I am no man!" like Eowyn did in the movie. Or if I get over excited about something I'll call out "Firecracker firecracker firecracker" like Bilbo does in the first chapter of the "Hobbit".

And whenever I see a potatoe I always quote Sam from LotR.

And before, I used to have friends just as LotR crazy as me(but when SW3 came out they changed into SW fans instead of LotR fans), we'd act out our favorite scenes to pass time. Our favorites was in the Return of the King "You bow to no one" Since there were five of us. Four hobbits, one Aragorn, lol!

Funny you say that...I have a good friend who also loves LOTR, who, whenever he feels like it, will randomly call out "PO-TA-TOES!" and I will say "Boil 'em mash 'em stick 'em in a stew!" And he'll quote other LOTR stuff and other movies with me too - it's such a blast, especially when others look at us funny. :P
