Post subject:  Non-Englsh title translations
I'm trying to compilea list of the non-English titles and their (literal) English translations for The Light of the Evenstar, as I can't find a good list of them. Unfortunately, LotR has been translated into about 38 different languages.

So, do you guys know of any? You would be credited, of course. I need the language, the title in that language (including all special symbols, and if the title does not used the Roman alphabet, the title in that alphabet plus a Romanization of the name), and the literal English translation.

For example, the Spanish title (which I figured out on my own, please tell me if its wrong!)

Language: Spanish | Title: El Señor de los Anillos | Translation: The Man of the Rings

And for titles that don't use the Roman alphabet, like Japanese, it would be like this:

Language: Japanese | Title: (Japanese characters title) (Romanized title) | Translation: (Translation

I am trying to get translations of the titles or both the series and their individual books. So I ned translations for: The Lord of the Rings, The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King.

Help is, again much appreciated, and you will be credited! (I will not be requiring translations for Spanish, French, or German, but I will post them here for posible correction, when I get them.)

Title: De to tårne // Translation: The Two Towers
Title: Kongen vender tilbage // Translation: The Return of the King

Language: German

Title: Der Herr der Ringe // The Lord of the Rings
Title: Die Gefärten/Die Gefolgschaft des Rings // The Fellowship of the Ring

Language: Swedish

And I might be able to get a couple of other languages for you, but you probably already have them.

I am italian, so I have the italian titles:

title: Il Signore degli Anelli//translation: The Lord of the Rings
title: La Compagnia dell'Anello//translation: The Fellowship of the Ring
title: Le Due Torri//translation: The Two Towers
title: Il Ritorno del Re//tranlation: The Return of The King

and this was italian ;)
