I made a Haldir and Legolas collage yesterday-and my cousin took a look at it-and she said-HALDIR WAS DISGUSTING!! She said there was something wrong with his eyes!!! I just can't figure out how anyone can say such a thing! And then when she saw that beautiful pic of him raising his head at the beginning of the battle and grasping his bow:

Me: Look at the moonlight shining in his hair, and his big beautiful eyes! You can NOT say this is ugly!

Her: But look at that place on his face where he needs to shave!

Me: That's a shadow...

She's crazy. Haldir's not my favorite person, but I would never say he was disgusting! It would go against the code of a Tolkienite...

(Though, I was watching TTT with my friend, and her mom came in and said Haldir sounded like a "little gay boy". )

Well, the funny thing is, she is supposed to be a lord of the rings fan. Sometimes she knows answers to q's about the silmarillion and stuff I don't. But when we disagree on something like this we're enemies, then I go back and talk to her anyway, cause she's the only one who'll jaw about lotr with me!!!

AH! He's not disgusting! He's like...probably one of the least disgusting beings in lotr!! Look at the others like...Gimli or Gollum! I wouldn't call Gimli disgusting, so to say, but he's definately not pretty!

Well... it coulda been worse... My cousin said that LOTR "desencatized me to the awfulness of the movie industry." go figure, she says things like that all the time... I like Haldir though. He is a cool character, and I just about screamed out of pure and total rage when they killed him off in the movies. But he is in no way shape or form "disgusting." No well-meaning elf ever could be!
