This is going to sound like a really random question (it's a long story), but would anyone here happen to have any ideas for making a cave troll costume (Just to clarify... it's not for me.)? If you do, I'd love you forever if you would post them here. I've done a bit of looking on the internet, but I can;t seem to find anything. Help?

This is a rather random thought for the hands... In the kid's toys section of a store, you might be able to find "boxing glove" type things. I saw a kid once that had a pair of tan-colored ones that were molded plastic, and had kind of a crackled look to them. (If this is way too confusing, ask me to explain it more and I will.) As for the body part of the costume, I don't really have any ideas, sorry. Maybe some parts could be made of painted cardboard?

I don't know if this helps...but I once had a similar costume than a cave troll one...I took a big box, painted it and stuck it on a broomstick...then I made the costume around the broomstick (complete with arms) ...it was in fact just a big part of some rag which I painted...and I sewed the arms on that rag...Then I went under the large piece of rag...which was covering the whole broomstick and me and held the broomstick higher, so I looked bigger...it looked pretty nice^^ (don't know now if this helped you, but if you want to look bigger, this is my idea for it)

Whoa. You guys are way more creative with this costume thing than I could ever hope to be. Thank you so much for your ideas. If I do make the costume, I'll be sure to post some pictures so you guys can see how it turned out.

Sounds like a really cool idea! lol
First thing I thought of was getting some old weathered leather to us. (gray preferibly to act as the rough skin)
Then... *shrugs* not sure for the rest.
It would be cool to see what you come up with though, I will have to keep watching to see your pictures.
