I would never come out of those gift shops! It would be awesome if they could make some sort of interactive show or something like they have down at Disney, they have one show where the audience members can talk to the sea turtle Crush from the Nemo movie, and an interactive Monsters Inc show too. Make an interactive Gollum show where the audience can talk to Gollum or something, it could be entertaining depending on the material. And food spots that serve lembas for snacks, and maybe come up with some sort of special food for each area in ME or something. Gosh, all these ideas are makin me wish they really had a park....

The audience would have to be warned that insults are not intentional, Gollum just has a tendency to say 'stupid fat hobbitses' when talking. Random screaming is also normal.

Hahah I've just got back from Florida and the idea of a LotR themepark went through my head whilst I was there!! Didn't get to Islands of Adventure to visit Hogwarts, but it looked to me from pamphlets and adverts that it was just themed coasters and gift shops (correct me if I'm wrong ) and I don't think LotR would work in that way. The biggest complication to me would be about film/book/adaptation rights- as PJ found out wanting to adapt the hobbit- getting hold of LotR's rights are a nightmare, which would make it too difficult and expensive for Disney/ Universal Studios to theme anything around LotR. All the same if they were to do it, how epic would it be if they recreated hobbiton or rivendell for shops/restaurants- it's be amazing if everything was hobbit-sized or maximised to make you feel like a hobbit too! Thinking of attractions is so difficult- there's so many awesome bits to choose from- you could have an Eagle ride coaster with Gandalf. Legolas' Mumakil playground- with a arrow climbing wall and a trunk slide!!! What would be epic though is to be able to watch the LotR films in 4D. Has anyone seen Epcot's Captain EO??? The floor of the theatre is hydraulically sprung so you bounce around- so for Pelenor fields you would actually feel the force of the mumaks approaching - and they could make it misty during the dead marshes etc I'd also say it shouldn't be in NZ but in Oxfordshire, where prof Tolkein was inspired and wrote LotR!

Yes! One of those 4D things would be awesome! I went on one of those for the Journey To The Center Of The Earth movie they just made a few years ago, and it was fun! Take all of the big, epic scenes from the movies and put them all together in a 4D ride. And have make up artists there that could turn you into whatever you want, an elf, a dwarf, whatever. Although an orc may be a stretch for a theme park make up studio.

Or, There is just a whole LOTR theme park in general! Not a 'new' thing in Disney or stuff.

Oh, I wasn't talking about it being part of Disney, it would be its own park. Its just Disney has some attractions that could be taken and adapted to fit a LotR park, like the talk with Gollum thing. I wouldn't want it a part of Universal Studios either, it has to be its own park, its too awesome to be attached to anythin! Yeah, there should be people dressed up like the characters, big ones from movies and ones from the books too, although people may not know who the book characters are if they've only watched the movie. There should be a Tom Bombadil and a Goldberry, ooo, maybe have them be in some sort of snack or eating place so its like you're having a dinner party at his house or something, like the hobbits did. And there should be a Prancing Pony too, with Butterbur to run it. Hmm..what other random characters should be there, besides the main people?
