I was heartbroken when I realized that Haldir died. In the two towers Elves do not go to Helms Deep (the book). Can anyone tell me why this happens???????I love Haldir and Legolas!!!!!!!! |

Well. Awhile ago, I remember watching the Extended Editions with commentary/extras and I remember Peter Jackson mentioning that he wanted to show that elves can die, even though they are immortal, they can still succumb to death in battle. |

Yeah, but that annoys people (like me) besides, why kill a blonde Elf, in fact why kill an Elf at all? I always pick characters who die, ugh! |

What does his hair color matter? I actually like it because it clearly shows that though elves are superior in a lot of ways they aren't impossible to kill. I.e. they're unable to die from old age but not truly immortal. Besides, as far as I know elves don't technically die; not the way humans or other creatures in Middle-Earth dies. So, it doesn't really matter if he does or not. |

What?????I was annoyed! His hair color does not matter at all FYI, I just like blonde Elves better, (Galadriel, Legolas, Celeborn, Haldir,etc. |

It was just a question, since you did say "why kill a blonde Elf" and I was wondering what the hair color mattered. Had it been better if a brunette elf had died? |

But elves don't really die, not like we would, so I don't find it that sad. Though it was hilarious when I told Craig Parker about how at the cinema when Haldir died I raised my fist and said "NO" and his reaction was laughing and saying "That is kind of dorky". Score. xD |
