I would tell him I would first have to move, and thus he would be required to aid me in such a move. Where I currently live, I don't think pipe weed would grow very well at all! (it's either too dry, or way too many grashoppers... or both)

Tell them that I have allergies to every type of metal and am therfore totally unable to wear any sort of ring.

I would polity decline since I am not only unfamiliar with dressage, but %90 of my horseback experience is western riding, only bareback with no saddle at all.

First, ask him pointedly exactly how old Elves who are considered "adolescents" are. I mean, I'd feel extremely silly doing this for, I'm guessing, a bunch of 500-year-olds! :confused2:

Tell him that I have exactly no experience with horses, and that it might be more sensible for him to ask this old geezer named Gandalf, who after all managed to get along with the most royal meara, Shadowfax.

Orcs can be surprisingly quiet without training so I would readily accept such an easy task.

Tell him that as an elderly (probably about) Seventh-Age human I would need so much help against the half-Noldorin Elf that Maeglin is that my possible contribution to the chore would not be noticed by its absence. :p

You are (or should be) aware that single-volume bricks of LoTR exist. But I unfortunately have a three-volume edition. This would mean total war! :karate:
