So I was browsing around online looking for something creative to do craft wise, and I stumbled upon these cross stitch patterns for LotR! http://www.abcstitch.com/subjects_php/subjects.php?subject=Lord%20of%20The%20Rings and http://hancockshouseofhappy.blogspot.com/2012/04/mae-govannen-tolkien-elvish-welcome.html Has anyone ever found/done any LotR cross stitch projects? Or how about any other crafts?

Oh man these are awesome! Also, the second link has all kinds of free downloadable patterns, including stuff from Doctor Who and some Christmassy patterns :) I know what I'll be doing this winter.

And no, I've never done any LotR related cross stitching before, but I'm excited to start doing it ;-)

I've done some LotR themed hama beading, but I unfortunately don't have any of that left anymore.

I want to find a cross stitch pattern for the map of Middle Earth. That would be awesome! I heard that there was some software you could download that can change a picture into a cross stitch pattern. I need to find that, the projects I could do!

@Bella--What is hama beading?

Ok, just found this, guess what I want to do? :lol: http://lotr-knits.livejournal.com/7634.html#cutid1 I got the link for that from this site: http://cmelvin.wordpress.com/pattern-lists/the-lord-of-the-rings/. I haven't been able to look at all the projects on that site though, took long enough to pull up the Gondor scarf! I never thought of putting a little pocket on the back of the scarf to cover up the embroidery. I've embroidered things on my scarves before, and I hated the messy stitching on the back of the scarf, but now I know how I can cover that up! :) Also, I so want to make some of the things these people made: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?action=tags;sa=showtopics;tag=lord_of_the_rings#axzz2faaePjEI Wish they would post up directions for some of them.....I think I need a trip to the craft store. :p

Ikr! And so many things that are impossible to do!
I'm currently bordering some sewing with athelas, we have a weed in our yard that looks just like athelas, so last year I preserved some, so I could draw it and stuff :)

So today i went to a friends house and her mom showed me some coasters she made, that look really awesome, I thought she had bought them from somewhere! She told me how she made them, and they are crazy easy to do, so now I'm trying to decide, do I make some LotR themed coasters, or some Tinker Bell coasters (which would match the decor of my room more). As for my scarf, I dont like how wide it is, so I think I'm going to have to unravel what I've already done, and start over. Why make something I'm not going to wind up liking and wont want to wear, because its too bulky?

I've finally picked up knitting again! I'm currently working on a blue-charcoal striped scarf, but I'd like to do something LotR-themed once this project is finished :)

^^ I'm knitting too! I'm making the scarf of the 4th doctor. I've done some Lotr things too, like dresses and cloacks.
