So colouring books for adults are kind of a craze here in the UK at the moment, and naturally they've released a LotR one for all us Ringers.

I got a copy on Friday, and it's full of so many pretty illustrations from the Silmarillion, Unfinished tales, The Hobbit & LotR. There's fantastic character portraits & beautiful landscapes & scenes. I'm at a bit of a loss of what to colour next- It's frustrating I can't do it all at once!

Still, there was one easy I just had to do first:

Have you got a LotR colouring book? Have you got any colouring pages to share?

That is awesome! You did a great job coloring it too. :D
I know Barnes and Noble are putting a lot of adult coloring books on the shelves; but I've yet to see a Lord of the Rings one. :-o I will keep my eyes open for it.

Yes, please definitely keep posting your coloring. I'm enjoying it.

I'm an young adult and I color coloring pages. It melts stress and expands your senses as an artist with colors. I've been looking for LOTR coloring books, maybe their only in Europe.

That is really cool! I don't have any Tolkien related ones. I do have an old Batman and Robin coloring book from the animated series days and a few justice league ones from the tv show.

If you look on ebay they are selling that one. I may have to get it myself sometime. Do they have a pic of Boromir and Faramir?

Thank you for all your comments :) Thranduil is right, colouring pages are great for stress.

It looks like it's not out in the US yet, or they're releasing a second editition. Amazon gives a release date of December 15 :)

Boromir- theres a great Boromit page, but no Faramir. Still theres a few great Gondor scenes too.

I found a cool Legolas coloring page online which was quite detailed, I link just in case you may want to view it.

There was an article in our local newspaper about adult colouring books. Apparently, our local bookstore is now carrying them.

Awesome pages Thranduil, they aren't the same, But a nice find! I always like stealing printing out Grant Gould's amazing line art (not my colouring btw) before I got my book.

I've been super lazy and -still- haven't finished my Legolas page. I'm at a loss on how to colour the trees & sky realistically. I stupidly made the decision to shade everything properly :dead:

I actually stopped by the closest library (60 miles away from home) and found out that they are now carying adult coloring books. I was in a hurry so I didn't bother to ask if they had Star Wars LOTR coloring books. ;) :P

I'm not sure I'd want to loan a colouring book from a library! How does it work? Do you complete a page & return the book and what if you've not finished and have to send it back? Or if someone's started one you really want to do, but it looks really bad :teehee: :P

The Star Wars book is out in the UK, but not in the US until the end of February LINK

Ah! My mistake on not clarifying. The coloring books are for sale at the library, not on loan like the other books. ;)

Ah, cool! I wish they would let you look inside it! Looks really neat, though!

Haha that makes much more sense, I couldn't imagine libraries signing up to loan something that, in theory, gets more and more damaged. :)

Amazon UK has some preview pages, I really like the art nouveau style Link
