Not able to do a whole lot. Hoping to do this at least once this year. I have some Boromir vambracers coming sometime. Really excited to get them.

We had gotten it set up a few weeks back but wasn't able to get everyone back there for pictures though my brother-in-law and I stayed overnight back there and got some pictures of him and I at night and some pictures of the camp in the morning. But we had to take it down that afternoon because there was a threat of a storm with hail and severe wind and I didn't want to lose my tents. wasn't able to get near the pictures I was wanting. Hopefully maybe we can get it set up again before the summer is out and get the shots I was wanting. I may post a couple of pictures of the camp site so you can see what it looked like but I didn't get enough shots to make a video at this time. :-(

Ah, gotcha. Well, that's too bad but at least you got to do it. :) I'd love to see the pictures when you find the time to post them!

Well sadly I was bailed on again and it didn't work out. So I will post the video of what we were able to do plus a video showing the comparisons between the game and the campsite. I may add some behind the scenes pictures later.
Camp video.

Comparison video.

This was the costume I had put together. I stupidly forgot to put on the gloves that day and sadly the vambraces are still being made.

Thanks for posting the pictures, Captain! As far as I can see, you’re absolutely movie-extra ready for any movie (fantasy or documentary) that visually gravitates around our European middle ages! :notworthy:

Very cool!! I love the outfit! :D Gloves or no gloves looks great, and every body needs some armor repaired now and then. Just say the vambraces were being repaired from a hit they took during the last skrimish with orcs. ;)

I couldn’t get the movies to load on my low speed cell phone data but I get more high speed data in like 6 days, so I will habe to come back to them then.

Sorry to hear it dodn’t work out as planned, though. It’s too bad I don’t live closer. I would buy me a faramier or Aragorn outfit and camp out with you!

Thanks! It's been a process getting everything together for the costume and the campsite, but it's been fun! The videos show the campsite the best, One video shows comparisons between the camp we made and the one in the video game.

Watched the video! :D Looked like a really neat and fun time. I loved the set up you had! Looks like you put a lot of work into it. Thought it was also neat how you showed everything by night forst, then the sunrise and showed everything by day. Nice touch. :)

Well done Captain! You are the best Boromir cosplayer I ever seen, sans gloves and vambraces! Please do a photoshoot when you get the full kit! Sorry the camp out didn't work out.
