I've always loved the obscure characters in everything I read or watch... my favourites in LOTR are Haldir's brothers, Rumil and Orophin, and I also love Lord Celeborn, who is quite a small character compared to others! |

hmm...I'd go for Tom Bombadil, Glorfindel, Beregond, and Halbarad. Four very good characters in the books who had their parts drastically changed (or eliminated)...*continues drafting a very strongly-worded letter to PJ* |
