Do you know anywhere where you live (around you, or somewhere in your country) that looks like or reminds you of a LotR location?

I found this picture taken in the Sarek National Park here in Sweden that sort of looks like Rohan with the hill of Edoras in front of the snowy mountains:

That's a nice picture. I wish I lived somewhere like that. Unfortunatly where I live it's not very scenic.

WOw, those are very LotR! I'm living now in Israel, and have seen many LotR style places, even if you think it's all just a big dessert, which it's not true :-D .
So maybe I'll post something when I have some time.

whoa! lovely places! I love mountains :-D there's a city here, called Minas (yes, Minas, lol) and outside the city there are some hills, tho they're low,not as high as in NZ, when is spring and it rained, is VERY green, it reminds me of The Shire

There's a place near where I live that looks almost exactly like when Aragorn, Leggsie and Gimli are following the Uruak-Hai at the beginning of TTT-here http://www.tevildiel.com/sc/ttt/img/Th015.jpg

This is about 5-10 minutes from my house on a place called Gleniffer Brae.

A wee bit like Rohan. Oddly enough there's a huge forest up there too, that from a distance looks like Fangorn, I can't find any pics of it though and my digicam isn't strong enough to take a good enough picture from a distance.
