Hello :)
I was just wondering... has anyone here ever visited Tolkien's grave? Because I was thinking of going there myself, seeing as it's in Kent (or so I've been told) and that's only up the road from me. Someone who has been there told me that his wife is also buried there, and that on the gravestone is written "Beren and Luthien". I think that's beautiful. Anyone who has gone there, could you describe your experience?
I've been contemplating recently what to do if I did go there. I was thinking of bringing flowers. If I did this, then I would really want to make it special; Tolkien is mine and so many people's hero, and I'd want to make the experience worthwhile.
I was thinking of laying down one of my poems alongside the flowers, but I'm not sure.
Anyway... anyone who has been there, what did you do? :)

awww... I think that's such a sweet idea! I have only seen pictures of the graves, and yes, they do say Beren and Luthien. Go for it, Girl!

Same here, I've only seen photos myself. I live the US so it would be pretty hard to see it, but if I ever find myself in England, visiting his grave will be a must.

Oh wow, that would be amazing! Seeing 'Beren and Luthien' on the grave...wow...it would feel as if I was in Middle Earth :swoon:
