Well I tend to think of the Rohhiric Culture more closely related to the Elvish, because of their love of horses (and the Elves being close to nature), and the Gondorian Culture more closely related to the Dwarvish , because of their love of stone and jewels (i.e Minas Tirith and Osgiliath are beautiful stone carved cities... and the Argonath are really beautiful sculptures). Who agrees with me? |

Aye. I can see the connection. The Rohirrim are a very natural, organic kind of people, riding the plains. The elves, although they are different in many ways, have that love of nature. The Gondorians love the glory of their cities. Their culture is not built on horses and horsemen like the Rohirrim, but on the legacy of ancient kings. I can see that sort of being akin to the dwarves. Good connection ![]() |

no..don't think so, they're more closely related to each other, Elves and Dwarves are just to different to be compared to any of the Human Races. |

I think they share qualities with the Elves and Dwarves, but I still believe that Gondor and Rohan are quite close to each other. As they are both Human, they are descended from the same forefathers, only their way of life is different. I think Gondor and Rohan are more similar than they appear at first glance. |

I agree with your statement which is true for me but men are closely related more compared to your relatedness. They have to be close you know same race, language and most of the things are similar of course. But I do relate Rohirric people to the Elves but no close relatedness with men of Gondor |

Och! There are many, many differences between the Gondorians and the Rohirric people. To start with it seems that the Rohirric people are more down to earth. They get everything they have from the earth, and they tame the creatures of the earth, especially horses. They live simple lives that their ancestors lived, and I do not think they take very kindly to change. As for Gondorians I think they are the people reaching for a better future. They are also a fearful people I believe. They have not had a king in many years, and they live behind closed walls under the very threat of Mordor. This would be enough to scare anyone! They are also more advanced in technology than the Rohirric people. This is probably due to the fact that they are constantly under threat, and are constantly trying to keep it at bay. |

I think Gondorians are more proud of their heritage and they put more stock in old prophecies and such. They're more ancient, I think, than the Rohirrim. I always think of Rohirric people as sort of wild and untamed - not, like, savage, but more open-minded than Gondorians. |

Interesting you say that Melda, because I believe quite the opposite. I don't know why, but I think the Rohirric people are more proud of their heritage and what makes them different than others. It's just the way they act that makes me believe that. The Gondorians are more into traditions, honour, and other things like that. Though they do have a certain respect for their ancestors. |
