geez... that's a toughie... since he has dirt on his face and has the lorien cape on, I'd say that it's probably a scene in TTT, and before his capture in the orc tower in mordor... and he's looking a little depressed, so maybe the scene where Faramir captures him... i don't know...

He's looking straight down it the pic in the avatar he's looking left or right (can't tell the difference). Maybe it when Faramir has his sword The Ring and Frodo's looking all pale an tradjic.

I think it is either late TTT or early RotK. He has dirt on his face, but he's still pale. And I don't think it's too hard to find a pic of him looking downward.
