I probably would have guess that something was a miss and therefor, no trust for him!
Next: If you were Denethor would have listened to Pippin when he said that Faramir was alive?

yeah, probably. I'd have been focused on nothing but finding the ring, and probably wouldn't have noticed where I was going...
