Maybe some of Radagast’s more “effective” mushrooms could use Saruman’s telepathic control bit to addle his brain sufficiently to lead to the same effect as Gandalf’s measures in the movie. This might, however, seriously impair Théoden’s usefulness as leader of the Rohirrim both in the Battle of Helm’s Deep and in the Battle of the Pelennor Fields …

Would you ever go on a hunting trip to bag fell beasts (think of it as Middle-earth’s ultra-hard-core version of a duck-hunting trip)?

Hunting is not a "sport" in which I participate. Mind you, a fell beast would have a sporting chance.

If I could assume that Huan has a good sense of humor, ask him, yes. Otherwise, he would very likely be able to realize how much more mass I have than Lúthien did and give me an “are you nuts?!?” look. Either way, actually riding on him jes ain’t gonna happen!

Would you ever ask Smaug to be the “pulling agent” allowing you to do some wild water-skiing on the Long Lake?

“War kites” is perhaps a bit of an overstatement, but for a certain I-don’t-know-what festivity in the Bombay (as it was then still called) of up to at least the mid-1960s, fairly small paper kites were flown, the specialty being kite strings with finely ground glass applied to them. The kite-fight involved getting the kite-strings crossed, then jigging the kites until one of them had its string cut and drifted away. :karate:

I try to get in the saddle of anything south of a Shire-horse weight-wise these days, I’ll have the local SPCA coming after me like a pack of wolves! :bounce:

Would you ever consider taking part in a horse chariot race (the one in the 1959 movie “Ben-Hur” with Charlton Heston is about what should come to mind)?

Same issue as in my previous post: my fell beast might never get off the ground, so what race?

Good heavens! I can't imagine how long it would take an Ent to toss the ball back to me, if I tossed it to him. I would probably have to eat second breakfast, at least, and possibly lunch as well to keep up my energy.
