Okay, so if you've read and posted in the "You know you're obsessed when" thread, you'll probably have no trouble following this game.
Many, many years ago, Arsarniel and a friend were having fun emailing Obsession Lists back and forth, and began writing our own. Then, one day, inspiration struck.
When the smoke cleared away, the two friends had implanted in their minds an idea for a game... a game that would end up being the ultimate way to tell how much of a Ringer/Tolkienoholic/Tolkienite you truly are.
Then, just now, whilst reading the Obsession Test Challenge thread right here in this very forum, Arsarniel was struck with how many people were saying they might get higher scores with different questions. She then remembered this old game, and decided that the members might enjoy one huge, hopefully never-ending Obsession Test.
The rules are very simple:
I might start the game by posting "You sing LotR songs in the shower."
Then, the next person must post, and the post must consist of two things:
Guilty, or not Guilty, and another way to tell if you're obsessed, for the next person to plead Guilty or not Guilty to.
Simple.
I don't mind if you sift through the "You know you're obsessed when..." thread for some ideas, if you're feeling utterly un-inspired. I'd also like the encourage members to include stories about how they can plead guilty. This will give us all inspiration.
